Traveling early tomorrow so I shaved this afternoon. I had less than the normal 2 or 3 days of stubble and it was no match for my trusty W&B. :happy036:

Final day on this setup. The Fatip showed it's stuff with the Feather by once again bringing the baby home in two passes and touch up. No blood on any shave either. The alum? A little warm but not bad at all.

I want to spend some serious time with the Oleo Soapworks in the future. Really nice lathers that have caught my attention.

Losing an hour tonight so party hard and fast on a Saturday!

Even though it's incredibly light at no time are you tempted to apply pressure with this great little razor.
It also made me contemplate the modern concept that for a razor to be durable it must be made from steel, titanium or a remnant from a spaceship crash in area 51.
An aluminium razor from the 1950s seems to pooh-pooh this sales pitch.
Anyway I digress, this was a very enjoyable shave which left me as smooth as the flight path of Alan Shepard's golf ball.
    Enjoy your Sunday's.

I started off with Proraso Pre Shave. The Mitchell's Wool Fat Shaving Soap face-lathered well with the Jayaruh #206 two-band badger brush. I did two passes with the Gem 1905 Lather Catcher Razor using a C.V. Heljestrand Wedge blade and ended up with a close, comfortable shave. After a cold water rinse, I finished off with Thayer's Lemon WH and then Pinaud Clubman AS. I am clean, smooth, and refreshed...

My first shower since the surgery and it sure feels great to be clean again. I removed the bandage at the doctor's orders and thank God, the incision area looks better than I thought it would - there's absolutely no redness whatsoever. This Thursday I'm going to get the staples removed, and that should relieve the discomfort even more. Anyway, on to my shave: It felt wonderful to use the Barbershop soap - its scent really is barbershoppy in a nice powdery, sweet way, (just how my wife hates!) it gave me way more than enough lather for my three passes and it left my skin not only BBS but so well-cared for and comfortable. Madame is not a big fan of the Brut's scent either but I like it now and then. I'm debating on whether I should continue with the Goodfella for this coming week.

Enjoy your Sunday, my dear friends!

    Hot face wash
Cremo Cooling Shave Cream (as pre-shave)
    Kiss My Face Cool Mint
    Razorock Plissoft
    Gillette Fusion Proglide
    3 passes, touch up
Rinse, alum, witch hazel, Duke Cannon Supply Company AS Balm, Osage Rub

I played it safe with the Fusion because I wanted to focus on the software.

The KMF lathered wonderfully, and, in combo with the Cremo, provided very slick protection. Both were cool, but I wouldn't say cold.

I was really looking forward to the new AS. Very nice scent, great feeling on the skin, but not as cold as I'd hoped. If 444 Balm is a 10 on the chill scale, the Duke is a 6. Pleasant, and worth the $10. The Osage Rub, of course, brought the cold. Very nice shave.
