Next week figures to be a busy one for me with Stoylin products. Time to break out the Barbershop soap(not EVERY day, but it'll get good usage).
I am wondering if Glacial Spearmint aftershave would be a good match with Soap Commander Vision soap? @PickledNorthern - have you used both of those scents? I know you've used Vision but what about Glacial Spearmint? I once smelled some Glacial Wintergreen and was blown back! It was menthol with a pack of Certs!
The mint in the Vision is way more of a feel than a smell. But the feels of the two certainly go together, and the scents are definitely complimentary, if not matching.
Barbershop for me tomorrow because I feel like I've neglected it. A little Brut aftershave and I should be good to go. The wife is not keen on the scent but I am!
If I don't like it I don't use it! I have several which we both love such as: Razorock One X soap and aftershave (she bought them for me) Soap Smooth Frozen Cranberry soap (she bought it for me) Reef Point Fougere Santal aftershave (she bought it for me) Sharp Dressed Man soap (after a week she finally admits that she loves it) Anything straight-out bay rum, barbershop, and other old-school scents just don't swing for her. But: They do for me and she knows it and understands.
Well, naturally she would like the ones she got for you I'd like to be a fly on your wall after Week 1 of the SDM: "Oh all right honey, I love it. Happy now???"
In an earlier post, I wrote that I was thinking about rotating Clubman Original with Clubman Special Reserve when Barbershop soap is the next soap in the rotation. That time is now..well, begins this week(Wednesday).
With her it doesn't work that way. She'll tell me straight up "Oh geez, I hate it" or "Ah, I love it!" Either way she'll kiss me after a shave! lollllll
Went full tilt today! Needed my Stirling fix so went with Executive Man. Dang, I love this scent! Sent from my SM-G928T using Tapatalk
I really enjoyed the Barbershop soap this morning. What I would do to get the matching balm and aftershave!
I'm proud to announce that some reviews are trickling in on the new Stoylin website. Course I'm probably not the first one to make this discovery! (Chuk yuk yuk)
It is very good. Light clean citrus, cologne. Light enough to be a workplace type of scent also. I don’t mean light in scent strength, but light as in fresh. Soapy clean good.
I'm opposed to this "workplace scent" issue. I was in a job where two ladies wore perfumes that were real nice to "whiff". I didn't complain. Is the issue about allergies to certain scents?
Yep, there's something about Piacenza and a soapy, citrusy scent that's really nice. I really enjoy it. "Soapy clean good" is an excellent description!
I am a construction superintendent, so I sort of juggle between field and office. Guys who wear too much “foo foo stink” on a job site, as one of my foremen calls it, come off weird. I never want to be “That Guy” in the Office, so I am very careful about what I wear to work. Piacenza works. Orange-y soap.
