Although my least favourite of the Micromatics the Flying Wing would make a nice addition to anyone's rotation and for someone looking to try the Micromatics it would be an ideal introduction imo.
For less than three quid the Boots balm is a bargain of the highest order.

Unsurprising Monday
I was not surprised that River Rouge gave up optimal lather and an intoxicating scent to my Silver Surfer brush, nor was I surprised that the Vision destroyed my stubble in close comfort, neither was I surprised that Uncle Jon's Pipe Smoke left my face soft and well cared for while picking up the tobacco note in the soap.

I started off with Proraso Pre Shave. The Fine Snake Bite Shaving Soap face-lathered well with the Jayaruh #268 synthetic brush. The Snake Bite is well mentholated, and I highly recommend it if you like the chill. I did two passes with the Gem Flying Wing Razor using a Pal CS SE blade and ended up with a close, comfortable shave. After a cold water rinse, I finished off with Thayer's Lemon WH and then Aqua Velva Musk AS. I am clean, smooth, and refreshed...

Route 66 Lavender Woods today. 20 seconds to load the oscar11/TGN 2-Band Finest brush. Easy, thick, slick, lather. Perma-Sharp Super in the Gillette NEW Long Comb. Excellent smooth, close, shave. I finished with Country Club Highlands aftershave.

With the Hawk and Proraso, I tried a light, wet lather and a very fine, light touch. Almost didn`t need a 2nd pass, so smooth. But with all that lather left over, I just had to use it. So a 2 pass shave, WTG/ATG,XTG and real light touch on the clean up produced a shave that I`m proud to say BBS. This happy Camper is wishing the same for all. God Bless, Bill
