I’m interrupting my NEW focus as my MonoBilt has made it’s way back from Razorplate. The work that Chris did on it is amazing. The fact that it is really shiny is a given, but the real workmanship that is in this is the work to repair the degradation of material that was all over the handle. You can’t tell there was any sort of pitting or loss at all. Chris sent me pics of the process, and what he did was fantastic.
Loaded a fresh Polsilver and went with a 3 pass shave. Got the usual super, close shave with this stubble assassin. Rubbed on the Alum and felt a sting from it -on my neck- for the first time this month. Looks like I’ve taken the aggressiveness of this razor for granted, and will be a little more careful over the next few days.
    Have a great day all!

As expected, my brush shave this morning wasn't as strong as usual, as I continue to deal with the pain of my freak fall Monday night. Once again, the theme of my second pass was "This better be better", not "Great first pass, now let's finish it off with 2nd pass". But I got it done.

Same for me. Thirty six to forty eight hours gives me a better beard to reduce with less irritation. Prior to discovering wet shaving I was prone to growing a beard or shaving "as needed". While I did daily early on, my current DFS still feels good enough the next day.

Fantastic, Clint! Is the Jeeves done for ?
"Cool" shot all the way arround, Jim!

    RazoRock SLOC
    Rapira Super Stainless
    Italian Barber Amici
    Yaqi B&W (30mm, Cruiser Class)

First shave with the RazoRock SLOC this morning. I found this to be a very mild razor, but it got the job done. It's been a while since I've used a Rapira Super Stainless (blue, black, and pink wrapper) its a decent blade, but definitely not a top tier blade as I found it a little tuggy on the chin during the first pass. After that all was smooth sailing and I ended up with a DFS. The open top cap really does help keep a protective layer of lather on the skin during some light buffing on the final pass. Have a great day my friends!

Great photo and lineup Andrew. You have a growing collection of Yaqi brushes. :happy096:

Thank you, Clint! Its getting harder to justify high end brushes when the Yaqi lineup offers such great value with interesting looking handles and quality knots. I think my BAD has been brought under control. Though there is still one more brush I would like to add and that would be a 34mm+ Carrier class, which would round out my armada.
