Yup, looks like the blade was a bum steer.
Moving sucks. I hope it goes smoothly for you. We've moved a few times in the past dozen years or so, and I keep thinking it will be an opportunity to get rid of stuff, but we've seemed to accumulated more with each move. How does that work?

Another stunner, Clint. Did you find any difference in post-shave irritation by eliminating the WTG pass first?

Thanks Jason, I think I have about 50 more that I will relegate to give away as part of sample packs that I send with DE razors sold through my shop.

 

I think my BAD has been brought under control. I am just trying to enjoy what I have now. At some point I will get another Shavemac Flat Top but likely not anytime soon.

 

Thank you Jason. I did not notice any increase in irritation. In full disclosure, I have gone ATG for the first pass with this razor and a new Feather blade with no issues.

Wow. FINALLY got caught up reading through this thread! I love seeing all the reports, especially from the newer fellas - who are making excellent progress, by the way! Plus, it’s nice to see what you fellas are up to - and, of course, there’s all the wonderful photography!

Still plugging along with my focus. The only thing I’ve been changing is the soaps (and aftershave) - which is the point of this focus. So far, I’ve managed to stick with just this brush. I still won’t promise anything there! Some of my other brushes have been taunting me. However, it’s not like I haven’t been enjoying the Commodore!

On Sunday, I switched from Arko to MWF - which I’ll run through Saturday. The week with Arko was very good. I certainly can’t knock it for the shaving performance. But, the MWF gives me a much better post-shave feeling. Not an issue for me, but the more neutral scent of Mitchell’s will appeal to many - especially those who don’t like the scent of Arko.

Anyway, here’s my setup for the month (just finally getting around to posting a picture). The only thing that’s changing is the soap & aftershave - and possibly the brush.

Just kidding. I purchased some several years ago, and I keep it in glass...a Frank's RedHot Sauce bottle. I'll break it out occasionally, and it reminds me of going to the barber when I was a kid. My Bride isn't crazy about it, though.

 

Time to find them a new home

Jason, your replated MonoBilt is a beauty! Chris at RazorPlate does amazing work. Congrats on a great shave with the stubble assassin.

Soap destroyers, stubble assassins, Dark Side, Cartel...the 30 DC sounds like a dangerous place. At least we have fruitcake.

 

I like it cause it is like a time machine in a bottle . Loved going for haircuts with my Dad and getiing a splash of this too from the barber .
