So i guess the clubman got a new home!

 

There were some nice smelling rats at the landfill that week!

 

Joking aside, Clubman is ok. But if you want something without that synthetic tinge to it and still in the same barbershop realm check out Canoe.

I'm sorry to hear this, Paul. Take good care of yourself for the next week. Rib and back injuries can take awhile to heal, especially if you strain them by trying to do too much too soon.

Thank you.....We had a lot of snow(again), and the only strenuous thing I plan to do tomorrow is knock off enough snow from my car so I can go have my taxes done Fri. But if I feel pain doing the "dusting off", I'll quit. It's supposed to be in the 40's, so Mother Nature might give me a hand. I'l go easy, and, of course, get the heater going inside.

 

Tell those ladies to go on Amazon to see the number of 5-star reviews for Clubman. But, to each his/her own, of course.

Awesome gear, Rick. Apart from just looking great, Cypress is a very nice wood to work with as well.

Great pic and write up, Bruce. Most of my focuses are exactly what you are doing- Focus around a razor and change up the variables- soap, AS, brush, etc. It's what differentiates it from a rule, while still spending time to get it dialed in.

I've heard that "awesomesauce" is gone now. I just don't care for the new-wave "fancy" words...if I had to choose one reason(and there are many), it is that they come and go. It must be embarrassing for someone to say one of those "words" and then find out no one says that word anymore! Let's look at this from a shaving standpoint-if someone says "No one uses Clubman/AquaVelva/Skin Bracer anymore, I hope I'm dead before that happens!!

 

The problem with wearing Clubman while on a motorcycle is that because of the trapping of the scent from the helmet(as you described), you prevent a great scent(IMO)from being scattered throughout the environment.

No shave yesterday, and I shaved this morning with a Dorco cart in the shower. Looking forward to SRX Thursday.
