Their shipping is pretty well priced also.

Excellent picture, Clint! All the green definitely fits with St. Patrick's Day.

IMO, new Omega boar knots are the stinkiest of the bunch. I'm guessing they source them from Minnesota. :) I lather up a new knot, let it sit overnight, rinse, and repeat for a few nights until the odor is gone. It also helps to soften the knot a bit. Then it smells as fresh and clean as good 'ole Kentucky.

Yesterday was the worst terrible horrible no good very bad travel day. It included a missed flight, a 3 hour delay on the tarmac, a delayed train, and a 10 hour email chain to get my Uber app working. Waking up this morning and checking in here, strangely brought some normalcy (wrong word, but you get the point). I haven’t decided if this means picking up the straight for the first time in several months will be what sets things right or what accelerates my premature and untimely demise. Maybe I’d better not push it...

I've tried a handful of different shave creams (Proraso, Palmolive, Trumper, D.R. Harris, XPEC, KMF, AOS, Castle Forbes, and TOBS), and the TOBS creams are my favorite so far. They perform well, smell nice, and they're fairly inexpensive. I have some Truefitt and Hill Sandalwood shave cream that was a gift. I'll break it out after I finish one or two of my open containers, as I'm curious to see how it compares to TOBS Sandalwood.

Maybe this will raise your spirits, Jared. :D

    Oh well, we're 30DC comrades, so let's make it a two-fer:

Great description of the Ozark Mountain. Have you tried Coniferous? It is straight up Woods.
Beautiful shot of stuff actually in bloom, Clint. I’m just starting to see lawn at the edges. 6 inches of hardened snow is trying to melt over most of the yard.
Great description of the creams, John. That’s it, starting Monday I’m breaking out some Sandalwoods.

Another great write up John. TOBS Sandalwood was my first real shaving cream when I started and still one of my favorite scents. My wife bought me some AOS Sandalwood that I need to try soon.

Randy, we've missed your smiling face around here the last few days.

@NCoxSTL passed out the cookies yesterday. Since you were jet setting and probably ate in Airport Lounges and First Class all day, I spoke up for you.

Thank you Gentlemen. I think spring is just about here for good. Likely to have one more cold snap but that should be the end of winter.

You're welcome....I grew up watching my Dad with his photography-not just the taking of pics, but the developing of them.

Welcome home, my friend. Long travel days can be very tiring and sometimes frustrating. We had a 24-hour travel day in January getting home from a trip, and I can't remember ever being more tired. Get some rest today and enjoy a nice shave. :happy088:

That is super cool, Paul. Your comment reminds me of the dark room we had in our high school many moons ago. I miss using my 35 mm camera, but I still have it. I kept my slide rule too. :)

The best shave of the month. No weepers and two pass BBS. Now I need to figure out if it’s because I switched blades or because I’m actually learning something.

I couldn't follow much of what he was doing, but it was really something to watch. A cousin who came to see my Mom for what turned out to be last time with her told me he remembered watching his "Uncle" in the dark room too. I'm glad you still have your H.S. equipment.

I don’t know where you get your information, but all boar hair sourced from MN has been lovingly shampooed by a beautiful Swedish girl before it is shipped out.

Charlie, I wish I lived the life you imagine I have! It was a bit more like the movie trains, planes and automobiles.

I foolishly (or wisely) mentioned the “tempting the shave Gods” straight shave idea to my wife. Let’s just say that decision made itself. Maybe a good night’s sleep is in order first. Not much of that was had yesterday.

Funny-just by looking at her, I had the feeling she was Swedish. Bet she was a real knockout at a younger age, or to quote from a Beacj Boys song I've liked for years "I'll bet you(she)went out every night during your school-time".
