Great photo Jim. I find the Feather Super smooths out after a couple of uses.

Prep: Cold water and Stirling mentholated pre-shave soap
    Blade: Schick Proline AC
    Razor: RazoRock Black Hawk
    Brush: JR #41 badger
    Soap: Stirling Iced Pineapple
Post: Witch hazel, Stirling Iced Pineapple aftershave

Back in the saddle after being gone last week. Nice shave to start the week. Iced Pineapple is a wonderful scent and the cooling factor is nice as well. Of course it has all the terrific qualities that you expect from Stirling. These Schick Proline AC blades work well for me. I could see where some of you would think they're too mild. They feel like a Kai Captain Mild to me, but my experience with these blades is quite limited.

Enjoy your day! Looks like we could have some severe storms in my area this afternoon, so we're all checking the weather a lot today.

Weekends really should be longer. The C.O. Bigelow was a good wake up and helped clear up my head from all this pollen. Three passes with minimal touch ups left me just short of catching the baby. I will take that most any Monday morning. A splash of Fine Platinum and I am ready for another day of taxes. I hope everyone has a great Monday.

Great filter effect Perry. Glad to see you had a good time in Disney. Hope you have a great week.

Thank you, Clint! We had a great time, but I'm sure worn out. We have this week of school and then Spring Break, so I'm living for next week at this point.

Given this, I'll have to see if getting Aqua Velva Musk to replace the TSD Russian Leather will be a net inventory gain. Still a few more shaves to go with theTSD, but the AV Musk to replace is my plan.

Ok, thanks for the information. Do I discount the product to offset shipping cost?

Not if you can avoid it. The goal here is to recover your shipping costs, not eat them. You list the shipping cost so buyers can see you aren't making a profit on a huge shipping fee, but at the same time you separate the shipping cost out of the price so most potential buyers will mentally leave that off the actual item cost while still paying it.

Otherwise you might as well say the item is "$X shipped" or "$x with free shipping" and be done with it.

If nobody bites after a week or so, then you can try lowering your item price or saying "price now SHIPPED" or something like that, but there's no point starting off selling at more of a loss than you have to.

That holds true whether you're selling on eBay or on a forum BST.

Back to the NEW focus earlier this morning. Inspired by John @Screwtape to break out some Sandalwood creams after seeing his informative write ups last week. First up was the Trumper Sandalwood- a sample that came via Randy @BaylorGator many months ago. First use of any Trumper product and it appears the cream had dried out quite considerably. It isn’t the soap, as I am sure the Trumper soap is triple milled, and it isn’t THAT hard. Spread some on the bottom of the bowl and sprinkled a little water on it to bring it back to life while I showered. Turns out there was no need to worry about it, as it produced a nice, thick lather.
As for scent, the only other Sandalwoods I have tried are TOBS, AoS and Crabtree & Evelyn. Of those it is closest to TOBS with a fairly typical British Cologne type scent. Quite pleasant, not potent and given the fact the cream had dried out, I was lucky to get as much off it as I did for scent.
Had 3 very nice passes, didn’t chase and didn’t catch. The lather held up very well during all passes and didn’t dry out or get airy at all. Good stuff. Finished with the Soapy Bathman balm (also from John!) which gives me a mild sting for a minute or so (without any visible irritation) and then dries nicely.
    Have a great day all!

Hope the camera works out. You’ll need it for closeups during MAYhem...
Nice razors! But...out of NB? In March? :rolleyes005:
Great set up, and love the write up!
Sounds like a great way to start the week, Jim!
Welcome home, Perry, and hopefully the storms don’t do any damage.
Lots of love lately on here for the Colonial. It is a stunner, especially with that brush, that’s for sure!

Thank you Jason. The brush was one of 2 prototype handles Doug sent me to try out. This one is my favorite since it is smaller and lighter than the other.

If you do this, wrap it in cardboard and tape it up good. I've gotten multiple razors damaged in shipping in bubble mailers. Boxes are better.
