The Speik was courtesy of Ray. He thought it smelled too "old-man'y". I think he's spent too many years sucking on Chicago gas fumes or something. I love how it smells. And yes, Thayers WH is the bomb. Great stuff. The Aubrey North Woods can be purchased at some natural food type stores. I got mine at Sprouts, but I've seen it at Whole Foods as well. Does Buffalo even have a store like that?

    Duckster Wabbit Season!

I tried AOS Lavender and it worked great (smelled okay), but it kind of tingled my face so I won't use it again.

Negative. We don't have anything like that at all. Pretty much have to go to Rapid, Billings or Denver to find anything like that. I have to buy all of my stuff online which is fine, I don't shop at B&M stores well.

BTW, I think Speick will be my new go to A/S. It stings like hell but works so good.

I got that same tingly/heat feeling using HBS Lilac. She sent me a puck of the plain to cut it with. Once I did that it pretty much stopped the problem.

Speaking of HBS, a few of us have had this discussion about bubbly, disipating lather. I had mentioned how the pre poured jar (which happens to be that Lilac) seemed to lather up ok whereas the loose pucks gave me problems. Well I emailed Sue and she says the soap formulas are identical so there goes that theory. Perhaps the properties in the lilac just make it lather well with my water. The three other soaps I have from her give me trouble. It's unfortunate because I was all set to love all her soaps. We'll see how the Mayan Gold performs Tracy.

Nope. Haven't had a day off since we discussed it. Shep's shopping day is tomorrow.

Jen must have fallen asleep. Nighty, night.

I should say that only 2 of the 6 HBS I have are bubbly and thin. The other 4 do quite well. The verdict is still out on the TGQ soaps. This morning the lather was thin and while shaving I thought that my face was really going to pay. I could just tell while shaving that it was going to be irritated. Finished the shave but no irritation. I am going to keep trying the TGQ but I don't know whether I like it or don't. Tomorrow is going to be a TOBS day.---Have you tried the almond TOBS?

Nope. Only TOBS I have is EC and a sample of Avacado which I haven't used yet. Here's the thing about thin, bubbly lather. Sometimes it does shave decently. I just don't like how it looks or feels. Since there are so many that provide a beautiful lather and a great shave, it's not worth it to me to use one that doesn't live up to standards.

If you want to send it, I'll try it. You're starting to fill up this package for me. Don't want people to think I'm taking advantage of you. :D

Did you lock the door again Shep. Darn it, I know living in the big city you are used to this but some of us small town folk leave it unlocked. There guys, I unlocked the door. C'mon in and put your feet up for a bit. We won't bite.

Shep, where did you get the sample containers. I need to find some, unless you just want me to mix it all together and send it that way.

Well the AS containers I got at Sephora which is a cosmetics store I'm sure you don't have in Buffalo, WY. All my soap containers were sent to me by others. Is there a C&E near you? They have sample containers. Check any store that sells cosmetics, perfumes, lotions and the like. Usually you can sweet talk the girls behind the counter into giving you some containers.

Barring that you'll just have to walk the aisles of Wal Mart or Target looking for something suitable. If push comes to shove just scoop them into a plastic sandwich baggie and twist tie it off. I've received a few samples that way. A bit messier, but it works. I prefer you not mix everything up. I'll mix my own superlather thank you very much. :rofl

What part of the valley are you in Shep? I used to live there from '93 - Sept. '96. Loved it. 43rd Ave & Union Hills - stationed at Luke AFB....

I'll be back to AZ in about 10 when I retire from the FD.....

Good evening Truckman and Sparky. Got any plans for the weekend. Tomorrow is the big Christmas parade here in Buffalo. We have a small parade and they give out free chile to anyone who wants it. Mix that with some hot chocolate spiked with Schnapps and Tracy is a happy person. Sunday I have a pheasant hunt planned, I am going to try my lab pup out and see how he does.

Shep, I don't have any of those stores. I think I will either go and get some free RX bottles from the RX shop or buy one of those large daily pill thingy's and put diffenent samples in each slot.

I'm at the opposite end of where you were. I'm out east in Gilbert. It was mostly fields when I moved here so it was probably nothing but country back in your day. Now the whole damn place is citified. Been here since 97. If you've followed any of my banter you know I'm trying for a transfer to Denver right now. PHX is nice, but the brown desert gets old for a kid from mountain country like myself. If I could do my job up in Flagstaff we'd be talking though.
