Something interesting happened when I put a little hot water into my Jeeves soap for tomorrow(tiny amount, of course): A few hours later, and it dried right up, as if I hadn't put any in to begin with.
Trying to catch up! Great photos and write-ups today, Gentlemen. I probably missed quoting one or two gems as well!
I'm sure I'll be catching up like you guys do, when I return from my 11 days in Colorado in June. I'll just pretend I'm a public speaker acknowledging applause: "Thank you......Thank you......Thank you very much........Thank you all....Thank you......Thank you very much".
Thank you. We’re looking forward to getting away for a few days for some fun family stuff. Not quite Macau though, Keith...
I only have a few blades left of them, Andrew, or I’d fire some your way. Got a tuck from Keith. To me, this is a top tier blade. If you like the other Russian Gillettes, you’d like these as well. When I’m down under 500 Russians someday, I’d look to get some...
Thanks, Mister. It wasn’t bad, just a cat scratch. Just dumb on my part though. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk Pro
I watched the clock. Loading time was around two minutes. Big badger brush and lots of soap. I haven't experienced Mike's - is is Hard, Soft, in between?
That’s an awesome App. And somewhat depressing given that we are about the same age, and I’ve got another decade left... good for you, though!
You’re ahead of me. I’ve got a lot of years left getting the kids through school. Just thinking about it is a little depressing. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
I won’t be laying on any beaches or anything yet. I am just going to get my dream retirement job: Just work a breezy 30-40 hours and live at home. Ive got sixteen years on the road, and I am getting worn down. Gonna go be a dock boy at a resort or mow golf courses or something. Whatever, I don’t care. If I don’t like it, I’ll drag up and do something else. Be a free man, at least. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk Pro
SOTD 3.20.2018 Head Shave Only (3 days) Pre-shave: hot shower Brush: Cremo by Vie-Long horsehair Cream: Cremo Sandalwood Shave Cream (in the tub) Razor: PAL adjustable injector Blade: Schick Post-shave: T.N. Dickinson's WH, Nivea Men Sensitive PS Balm, Jeris Musk for Men AS / Cologne No face shave with the CJB pain stick today. That will come tomorrow. I took the time to do a head shave and used my PAL adjustable injector. I haven't used it in months and it was calling to me. This is a terrific shaver. I had a CFS after one pass, and some clean-up passes, and I was finished. Take care, friends!
You sound like a man planning on paying for a lot of grad school. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk Pro
The tugging is likely loss of angle control. As you round the jaw, I venture that the razor attack angle shifts too high, catching rather than cutting. Honestly, there aren't many blades better than Astra. You may want to try an extra PTFE (teflon) coated blade, like Voskhod or GSB. But in general, hardware switching is not likely to solve this.
