I'll bet in Boston you can get Sushi about any time you want it. I have to go to Denver which is 6 hours away:mad:

I love boston so much, I am definitely going to try to visit again. Hopefully my boyfriend will be in school the first summer semester and I'll be able to visit.

You'll probably kill me for saying this, but I just counted up six sushi places that are within 15 minutes walking distance of my apartment. There are even more of them close by that I'm forgetting about right now.

There are no less than four Thai places nearby, no less than four good Mexican places nearby, at least two or three good Vietnamese places, about three good Korean places, a number of Jewish delis, and one Southern-esque place all within the same radius as the sushi.

It's great to have such a wide variety of food nearby.

Also, I can mail you some sushi if you'd like.

I think it would be bait by the time it got here:happy102

My brother in law and I usually have some flown in for New Years. It is expensive but really no more than we would drop at a good sushi bar anyway.

What are some of your favorite places in Boston?

    Do tell, what kind?

I know just what to do. I'll send you the fake rubber kind they use in displays.

I'm quite curious as to how you get it flown in. Please enlighten me.

I guess flown in is the wrong way to describe. My brother in law goes online and finds a place, maybe out of Seattle, and they basically ship it in dried ice. It is fresh and not frozen and we get it the next day. Good stuff. I can't remember the name of the place he gets it from.

Ah. Okay. And here I was picturing some guy in a helicopter showing up at your house with a sushi delivery.

That sounds pretty cool. Have you received any nigiri sushi from them or just the maki (rolls)? I can't imagine opening up mail and finding sushi inside.

Both. We typically just get the nigiri but we have ordered both.

Well my favorite place is the christian science plaza reflecting pool. It's so pretty! I wish I was going to school in boston, I'd do all my studying there when the weather let me. There was a mall near there that totally rocked too (had a pretty tea shop). We also went to harvard square, that was nice. He goes to Northeastern so I spent a good amount of time on his campus, absolutely beautiful campus. If I had a rich doctor mom my ass would be at NEU.

it was simple, spicy tuna rolls with white rice and a little caviar. Definitely good for lunch, the place is great, sometimes if I have time after work I pick some up between work and school.

How does the fish on top of the nigiri stay on?

I need to read what I type before I send it. It doesn't come as nigiri, we make it once arrived. Sorry for the mixup.

The Christian Science Plaza is pretty. Quite nice in the summer. The mall near there is so ridiculously upscale and overpriced, but nice to walk through and a great detour in the winter. Inside that mall is (to my knowledge), the largest Barnes and Noble in Boston. The smallest Barnes and Noble in Florida is probably bigger than the Barnes and Noble in that mall. :p There's also a number of stores that carry shaving supplies in there. C.O. Bigelow, L'Occitane, and Crabtree and Evelyn.

Is the tea shop you're talking about Teavana? I love that they leave out dispensers and teapots full of tea for people to sample. My thirst has been quenched many times by free tea.

Colonial Drug and Levitt and Pierce (a smokeshop that has a fair bit of wetshaving supplies) are in Harvard Square. Definitely worth checking out when you're here next.

I haven't been around Northeastern (to my knowledge). How often do you visit Boston?

Even though I'm swamped tomorrow, I still have time to grab a good lunch. Told the girlfriend I'd take her out to Indian. Now I'm craving sushi. There may be a change of plans.

Ah. So do they send the pre-cut slices of raw fish and a bowl of cooked sushi rice? Sorry for the ridiculous questioning. This sushi through the mail thing piques my curiosity.

I was only able to go once :( since we're both in school it is rare that I can come visit. My first year my parents wouldn't let me visit him! I can't really blame them, I was 17. I managed to get a week off from work last summer and he came home and got me and then brought me back on a friday. I've never been on a bus or a train by myself which will soon change. Well no that's a lie, I went on a train once from penn to upstate but I was with my friends in penn and my parents got me at the station upstate so I don't really count that. Yeah I'm talking about the Teavana shop, it's nice, I like that they have samples out too. It was the first time I got Sean to try tea and he actually enjoyed it. I wasn't into wetshaving back then but next time I go I'll definitely check those shops out! You should take a walk down to northeastern, it's pretty over there. Not more then a 5 minute walk from the mall and reflecting pool. I was actually going to go to wentworth institute of technology which is right next to northeastern. I have an acceptance letter in my room, there was also a pharmaceutical and medical prep college about a 5 minute walk from him that I was looking at too. Ah well, Buffalo is a cool city too.

I think I'm going to go relax on my armchair and read for a bit and then head to sleep. Got to get up in seven hours.

    Goodnight, all.

    Sleep well.

Luckily for you, you don't ever have to worry about getting it shipped in.

I figured I would type this here so I didn't highjack the other guys thread. You should defiantely try a slant. I am sending Shep my Chrome HD slant for him to try out. If he likes it I told him he can buy it, get a new one or send it back if he doesn't. I just got in the mail today the barberpole long handled slant and a gold slant. I love them, I will never search for a different razor. They aren't the beast everyone tries to make them out to be.

Have you ever used a open comb old style Gillette?
