Shep so what are the details to loading the FF on a flashdrive. I thought you mentioned a thread showing how to but I can't find it. I have a 256mb flash drive already, is it big enough?

You can download it from the site Jason put up. Set up a folder on your memory stick called "FF" or something. When it asks where you want to save the file to choose that folder. When it takes you through the setup procedure save all that to the flash drive also. I think it took up 50Mb so you should be fine.

Guys, guys. You are talking to a computer illiterate. You need to give me some tips on how to do this. I have already put the flash drive in the USB (not USP) port and I am lost.

Disregard last post I got it figured out. So, if I use this at work nobody will know I am doing it? Not that it really matters but my brother in law gets a little upset when I don't tell him certain things.

Do you have the file downloaded that's called firefox something.paf.exe?
double click on it and it should extract the content to a new file called portablefirefox.
drag that folder into your usb/thumbdrive

Don't know anything about the Opera browser though I have heard of it of course. I'm fairly certain nothing is going to work on this particular computer network even if it's on a flash drive. They have the network locked down and secured pretty tight.

Well you'll be using a different internet browser is all. FF is more secure than IE (I'm told) so nothing bad can come of it. If your bro-in-law is the computer administrator it really depends on how tightly he has the security and firewalls locked down. Heck you could even try to load the FF browser straight to your computers hard drive rather than use the flash drive. Then again my IE7 is working fine here on TSD today so maybe all is well now.

mmm I haven't had grilled cheese in a damn long time.

edit: my skin has been insanely dry today, and I've been putting on moisturizer no less then once an hour...

Next time add a little pimento cheese before you grill it!

You must have a bowl of Tomato soup made with milk though. Then add a bunch of crackers to thicken it up. Dip the grilled cheese in the thick, soupy mix and enjoy the rapture. :p

I got it all figured out and it works fine. I could have downloaded FF on the hard drive but didn't. I like the idea of being mobile, it just sounds cool.

Maybe Sparky got it figured out. Are you on at work? Still odd that I don't have the problems with IE at home only at work. Doesn't matter, now I don't have to worry.

Question to all. Once I put the flash drive in the USB and use FF will that leave an icon on my desktop?

Oh yeah, I love grilled cheese too. My dad actually eats it with mayo, I just can't bring myself to try it.

Even better than milk add some whole cream to the tomato soup, heavenly.

    I make my tomato soup....

1 can of Campbells condensed tomato soup
    1 can of diced tomatos
1 package of fresh basil, chopped
add water to desired thickness (not too much!)

    sorry, no milk! :ashamed001

grilled cheese and tomato soup. so cliche and so yummy.

I can be employed as a moisturizer applier. Very inexpensive. highly qualified.

Once you plug it in at work it's going to run you through a set up procedure again (it did for me at least). Again, save all the files onto your flash drive. The FF icon will be on the flash drive, not your computer.

And yes, being mobile does make you hip. In fact you should buy yourself a new pair of Ray Bans you're so rad. :D

    Must

    Use

    Milk!

    Errrrrr........Ok!

Will you use that curly hair of yours to buff everything in nicely?
