Ok we need a new law in here. If you want to post pics you can't use the firefox 'insert image' function. You must do a save-pic-as to your hard drive and then post it using that little paper clip thingy up there. I mean as much as I like seeing red xxx's there's no payoff.
What are you talking about? Is that a Windows thing? I use FF in Linux and I am unaware of any such function.
Do you think this is what the IRC boys had in mind when they invented it? Ok, you don't get to post any pics.
That's funny, because my #1 google search is for boo..... oops, Jo asked us to keep it clean in hereD
no. work is strict about what sites it will allow. and even if I can go to this site, if someone posts a pic from another site that isnt allowed I wont see it. Shep's problem is eye related. He is old, you know.
Much confusion about all this pic business. FF (an even IE if you go through several extra steps) allows you to basically copy the URL of an image from any website and then insert the image URL here using that sun and mountain icon up there on the text box tool bar. Supposedly some folks don't even have to use the sun/mountain icon; they can simply right click the mouse and use the paste function---never got that to work. What you've done is posted an embedded link to the pic rather than the pic itself. Soooo, Ray is correct. Filters and firewalls don't allow us to see those types of pics very often. The work around to this problem is you can save pics from any site straight to a folder on your hard drive by right clicking the mouse and using the copy/paste options. Then you can attach the image here using the paperclip (manage attachments) icon up in the toolbar. Those we can see because you're not directing us to the URL of some 3rd party site that our firewall doesn't like. You're slapping the pic right here on TSD's server/site/whatever. Anyyyyyyyyyyyways, that's way too technical for this chat thread but I had to spell it out.
