I just tried that little trick with the paperclippy thingy in the tool bar but it didn't work. I had a pic of my son on halloween so I opened the paper clip and browsed for the pic. Once in the window I copied the address/picture area and posted it into the body of the post but it only showed up as C/.Documents blah blah blah. What did I do wrong?

 

I just bought mama Shep's Christmas present online using redeemed credit card points. Never done that before. Hopefully this works. I would hate to make mommy mad.

 

It's a funky process. You were only half way there. After you get that C://blah.blah...you have to click the upload button. It will then upload to the server (there are limits to the file size and numbers of pics you can post). Then you close that box. Come back here to the text typing box, click the paperclip again and you'll see your image in the dropdown menu. Click it and Bob's your uncle.

Why not? It's the same as spending money at at the mall for cheap crap. I just bought cheap crap online is all...using credits instead of cash. Anyways mom loves her son.

 

My bad. I thought you were referring to Mama Shep as your wife and not your mother, which makes more sense as I type it. If you had been talking about your wife I think you would see the problem

 

Okay Shep I tried that too. I browsed and found the pic. Hit upload and then closed the paper clip. Went back in but there is just a bunch of stuff in there that I don't think I put in there down on the bottom. Even when I try to click on one of those it won't do anything.

 

You have to close the manage attachment box after you do the upload. Then click the little down arrow by the paperclip again. The file you uploaded should be there:




If your pics file size was too big it won't upload. There is a limit to kb size. You will get a little message informing you as such. If that's the case you have to resize the photo.

Ray was still online when I tried to this. Due to my stupidity, the rotation of the earth, my stupidity and my stupidity it took this long to load the picture.

I need to order some gift certificates for Christmas. Anyone know of an online place where I can go and get most of them in one place.

 

True, but that is not my place nor is that me in the background.

 

I think you have to decide what vendor you want to give a gift for, and then go to that website for the certificate. I don't think there is a one size fits all gift certificate that somebody can use everywhere.

That would be called a check.

Not one gift certificat to use everywhere but 2 or 3 to different places. I just don't want to have to go to 6 different sites. There has to be a place that I can get a Cabellas, Toy-R-us, etc without having to go to each individual web-site.

Problem with this right now. Wife has camera at work. I told her to bring it home so I could take pic's of shave den. She laughed, didn't ask any questions and said she would bring it home tomorrow. Real question is why is the expensive camera that I bought her at work with 6 year olds who can break it.

 

Wives, pfft. Sometimes they can be such a nuisance. Shhh...keep that between you and me. I don't want to get beat up.

I don't know of anyplace online you can go buy a bunch of certs in one place though one may exist. We actually have a grocery store down the road that has an entire shelf full of gift cards for various places (Starbucks, Home Depot, restaurants, hotels etc). You just put the money on them at the checkout. Pretty slick. The Starbucks card has gotten me out of the dog house more than once. :happy088

I saw Dom logged in about an hour or so ago but he is gone. I think it is going to be slow around here until after Christmas. Too many things to do and buy right now.

So did you work today? I noticed you said you didn't have any problems with IE today so I was just wondering. Sounds like Sparky is getting close to fixing the problem. Poor guy, he has been working his A$$ off.

 

Yep. Sundays are pretty slow for me, but somebody has to be here and it's my turn. Lots of TSD time today. I've got a couple games TIVO'd for when I get home so that'll be nice too.

I just finished reading your scotch thread. What did you end up buying?

 

I always put off boring work until the last minute...

 

The first bottle I bought was a bottle of Macellands. Pretty good stuff but I didn't want to break the bank to find I didn't like it. So I bought it and liked it and last night I dropped the mo money for a bottle of Balvenie Doublewood. That stuff is freaking great. If you like Scotch I would recommend it.
