    March Madness!!!

    March 28

    Razor - 1959 (E1) Gillette Super Speed
    Blade - voskhod-teflon-coated.jpg (1)
    Soap - Proraso Sandalwood
Brush - Stirling Two Band Synthetic
    Post - Alum

Next to last shave at HQ 1.0. The Voskhod is locked and loaded in the Super Speed and an excellent, why, nearly epic shave ensued. Enough lather to wash down the walls in this place when we move out (no, we're really not doing that.....not after how this all went down) and two passes and touch up has a near-BBS result.

I'm working a full day tomorrow covering a store for a guy on vacation. I have the car loaded with storage stuff that I'll drop off tomorrow night, come home, drop the last things in boxes and await Friday morning. I'll obviously stick with the Voskie for tomorrow night and wrap up things here in style.

Just a quick reminder that Sunday marks the beginning of Awesomely Amazing Arko Adjustable April!! The new thread will open sometime late Saturday night once I'm set back up so just keep it going here to finish the month strong! It's been a fanastic and MAD month of March! Thanks for all you do to make this thread the best anywhere on the web!

    MARCH of the used blades

    TOBS Sandalwood cream sample
    Vulfix Vulfix 2235s Super Badger
    Suribachi bowl & cool water
    Ming Shi 2000S at 4-1/2
    Wilkinson Sword blade
    Shulton Old Spice AS
SOTD 03282018 TOBS Wilkinson Sword.gif Got a couple nice snap top containers from Randy @BaylorGator that I'm working on clearing so I can open up some Stirling samples. There was too much of this veggie cream for one lather so I scooped out half and ended up with entirely too much in my bowl. Flash back to Decadent December's Focus - don't skimp on the product. Being a soft cream called for a badger knot. I don't recall what I sent to him but Louis @dustmite let loose of this Vulfix brush. Comfortable handle in a pleasant ivory color and a much denser knot than my other Vulfix, a Pure Badger 660 Medium. Checked the blade of unknown uses and found it clean so it got a shot at performing. My comfort zone for the Futur clone already being established so I set about a three pass +. Like the glide and residual slick of this cream so much I had to look - yup, it's non-animal based. Finished in the high DFS category with no errors. Another benefit to this lather is the easy rinsing, no residue clean up. With a couple sandalwood soaps to choose from I still don't have an AS labeled the same. Good old Old Spice was in the scent neighborhood. Got a couple back up bottles. OK - several bottles of Shulton so I use it as the mood suits.
    Good Shaves Y'all!

Oh ye of little faith! I’m fairly confident I wouldn’t break my NB for software. As mentioned before, though, there are some certain hardware items that if priced right I would cave for.
Reserve Fern is on my list to purchase when able to, however.

Glad to hear the month has been rewarding. That is a fine collection of Reserve products as well.
One does not finish Tabac, one merely acknowledges that they have lost that battle and puts in the refill puck with the remnants still there.
With how you were treated, they are lucky you washed the bathrooms even.
Sounds like a great shave, though!
Yup, another great write up, Rick!

Thank you. This was one of my earliest handles and I always liked it, but it had a Boar knot that over time I started to dislike. Randy traded me the Finest Fan that is in there now and I am very happy with it.

I'm hoping that my Ming Shi 2000s arrives in the next couple of days, so that I can get involved with Adjustable April!

Sorry I haven’t been online as much. Focus is mostly going well, but I took a break today for a hotel shave.

Beautiful razor & brush, Keith! You might've taken off from the Tabac....but it's still there, rejuvenating itself, waiting to mock you some more...:D

How is the addition going, Adam? I hope that the weather has been cooperating enough that progress is being made.

I'm sick of still being able to see my stubble after WTG & XTG passes with my 34c... I don't like shaving ATG, so I've shimmed it! Will see if the extra blade gap makes any difference.
