    Thank you John!
Lovely photo and setup, Jason! So, what's your conclusion of the SC vs LC scientific experiment?

Sounds like a great way to end the work week and start the weekend, Clint. Enjoy!
Glad it worked out for you, Randy. Beautiful razor and brush today. That piece of burl with the spalted pithwood is really a nice chunk of wood as well.
    Nice photo today!
Interesting, I find the Reserve splashes to be quite long lasting. Not as long as say, Chatillon Lux, but as least as long as most artisan ASs.
Sounds like a great shave, Patrick.
That is a nice pic, too bad you had to ruin it with the Maple Leafs paraphernalia...:scared003:
Yup, ‘tis truly Friday now. Great hat!

Good Friday March 30 - a farewell to Latha

    Kent BK12 The Aircraft Carrier
    The Dry Dock shave bowl
    B+M Latha melange
Supply Co Arenella Coast and Lost Provence balms mixed

Yesterday's photo because everything was the same ... Until I switched out the aftershave...

The soap again smelled like I was standing by some citrus trees located in a small pine grove surrounded by fields of lavender. Not sure where such a place could be found exactly, but it sure smells nice. The aftershave extended the scent by combining an Italian coastal cedar scrub with a French lavender growing farm.

The BK12 whipped up ample lather both for my normal face shave and for a subsequent pit shave. Both irritation-free thanks to the soap, the smooth sharp blade, and the excellent balm.

Hope everyone has a blessed Easter weekend!

The SC is a great shaver, Andrew. However, I think I prefer the LC. Unlike some others, I don’t find the SC to be more efficient than the LC, and I find the LC incredibly smooth. That is probably the difference. They both shave exceptionally well, but I find the LC a bit more enjoyable, if that makes sense. If I had to rank my 3 favourite vintage DEs right now, I’d go
    1. Cooper MonoBilt
    2. NEW LC
    3. Jeez, who knows. Maybe the SC? English Aristocrat Jr? Fat Handled Tech? Thin Capped OT? Tough call.
I think I’ll get this LC replated some time. It deserves to look like a star.

I will echo this. The 3 plate is a fairly mild shaver, so just ride the cap.

Superb photo and stellar gear, Randy! That brush is killer! And, naturally, so is the bowl. Jason does incredible work! Did your dad make the brush handle?

A shave-first for me tomorrow-doing the "across-the-grain on the neck" move with a cream.

Thank you. It is strictly a hobby. I’ve only made handles and bowls for fellow 30DCers. Sorry you weren’t around yet for the first round of LE handles. I’ll think of something else in the future.
Don’t listen to John @Screwtape or Jared @PickledNorthern , Bruce, as they’d have you believe I am making shaving stands, hand-carved and turned from Unicorn Horn and Sasquatch fur, for the group...

The MMOC came in the mail while I was gone this week. It was a pretty good shave. Few weepers on my lower neck from going ATG. Not sure whether to blame it on the operator, or the blade. The hair on one spot of my neck grows straight up and flat. It took me years to get to a point where I could shave daily ATG in that spot. It needs to be with the sharpest of blades (meaning new more so than brand/type), or it feels like I am just ripping the hairs out by the roots. I don’t know if I have ever pulled it off with a Gem blade.

The Semogue is my oldest brush that I own. It was the second brush I ever bought, after an Omega 49. It really is a good brush.

Thanks again Jason for the brush porn! My friend asked me if I knew someone looking for a wood lathe. My knees went weak .
