Oh, and I am not named after the Saint Nicholas (Everybody thinks I am [6th of December]]), I'm named after Nicholas of Flüe (25th of September).

You might ask why I'm named after a saint? Well, because it used to be tradition (and still is to some extent) in the roman catholic parts of Europe and latin America. "Used to be" because nowadays all these silly names (like naming a kid after the place where he/she was conceived) come up and there are more and more children without a name day. It's sad, but well, that was to be expected with less a declining portion of people believing in religion and god (whatever your god may be).

Hey Rolls, Shep has blue eyes. <kiss, kiss> :D

Sorry to hear about all you that are sick and feeling under the weather. I just got over my first cold of the season and it was brutal. Took about four weeks to shake all the effects.

Ray glad you and the baby are ok. Since that is the case can I just say one thing? A Prius?!?

I've never seen a US post office open on a Sunday. But if it did take 90 mins. it has more to do w/ the customers than the tellers in my experience. I've been behind a few knuckleheads at the PO who must have been writing the letter right there. As for customer service, it all depends on where you are. Certain parts of the country are better than others.

Here's one for all you math whiz's. Never was much for cypherin' myself...

I once had a '28 Buick up to 70mph. How I wish I'd been pulled over.

"Your honor, it's a 2spd '28 Buick. Do you honestly think I was going 70? I mean, come on."

All the encouragement to get your life back in order Rolls. It's a hard road you have traveled and unfortunately, one many people have traveled. It's funny, or maybe not, a lot of people that have won the lottery have not had things turn out like they wanted.

You truly had a 28 Buick up to 70? What is the stock engine under the hood?

Here is an interesting one... The car I drove in high school wouldn't shift in to 4th gear until you hit 91 mph if the pedal was to the floor. Strange the things you learn in high school...

Do not laugh, my friend. I have a '38 Plymouth that will top out around 140 mph.

Yup. Going downhill and basically coasting. Just a touch over 70. Rather scary, actually.

    I don't doubt that.

There is a giant difference between your Plymouth and my old '28 I'd venture to guess. A stock '28 at that.

Two forward speeds - slow and slightly less slow.

Nah, I wasn't angry at anything that happened while driving. It was more like smoking a cigarette only without the cancer and it wasted more gasoline.

Oh wow seems as though I have missed some. If you havent seen the series final of Boston Legal, it is great.

Jen- My car is 13 years old too, but if you treat them right they return the favor, I have gotten up to 105 in my car and I scoff at all the adds on tv praising 24mpg seeing as I get 30hwy and 26city.

    Rolls-
I am glad to hear that things are on the up and up for you. If it helps I would more than happily be another grandchild if things go sour.

Speaking of engines... in the past two years, I once took a car to about 130 mph on a huge highway. I was driving somewhere I'd never been before and needed to get off the highway. There was a chain of huge trucks driving ridiculously fast on my right and the only way I could have got ahead of them was to speed up. Yup. I made the exit.

That's the fastest I've ever taken a car by a long shot. I'm not a reckless driver.
