The 34c shaving aggressive rate in between from R89 and DE89 to R41 and is pretty close to a Muhle Rocca, the 34c is just below the Muhle Rocca aggressive shave rate.

It’s been nearly two and a half years since using this particular razor - the Mighty PAL Injecto Matic - aka the Schick Buster. About as close to a perfect shave any of us is entitled to. The dophins are flocking in admiration and I may not need a shave for three days.

Very nice shave. I much prefer the scent of Cologne Russe as a soap than a aftershave, the violet note makes it a bit too floral for my taste, but as a soap it is perfect. Managed to not get any nicks or irritation but not quite BBS. Whipped up a thick lather in the copper bowl and finished off with matching aftershave.

Incredibly smooth BBS shave this morning, which is surprising since there was no prep whatsoever besides a splash of water. KoO smells wonderful, although it is a floral it smells like a gentleman's floral scent if that makes sense (pun intended). Lather was top notch as with all WK soaps, kept feeding it water to the point where most soaps would have broken down. Did chase the baby a little bit but just a slight sting from the A/S. Olive Branch is one unique scent but it paired well with King Of Oud. Hope everyone is doing well and getting great shaves!

 

Sorry to hear about your Dad. I can relate to what you are going thru Jeff, my grandpa just had a heart attack and is not doing too well either. It's good to spend as much time with them as possible, or one might regret it later. My thoughts and prayers will be with your family.

Good luck with your adventures into Straight razors Thorsten! I personally haven't had a full shave with a straight, but they are intreging. Just remember to watch your angle and it should go well.

 

Arko Adjustable April!!

Time to move back to American brass. The Fatboy comes out to play and I loaded a Rapira SS blade into it. This is the cheapest of the Rapiras and one of the best. Proves that blade quality isn't tied to price. I have been using my Arko from the Old Spice mug. I grate a stick and press it into the mug for use on my head shaves and I can load from the mug that way. I went back to old school tonight, using the stick on my face then lathering with the Wolf. As always I got more than enough lather that way.

Two passes and nearly a BBS. Wasn't really trying, just enjoying the Fatboy on setting "me" and the ease that Arko lends. I'll stick with this a couple of days. This is my only badger brush and it felt good enough tonight I'm fighting the urge to go shopping.

The picture's a little out of focus. This camera thing is puzzling me a bit. I did finally download the manual for it so I'll be working on better efforts. I'm off the next couple of days with unpacking, some shopping and some just plain down time in my plans!

I feel lucky to have had this razor thrown in with a straight razor lot... and I am really liking this! I think it is from the 20’s (no serial #), and I have a blade with a 344 date code (year/week) - so 1923, if it was with this razor originally (?). Works for me .

Good morning friends. A fine three pass shave this morning with the Schick Adjustable fitted with a twin blade. Marvelous lather from the Speick shave cream. A soothing kind of medicinal scent. I am smooth and refreshed. Enjoy your day friends. ☺

I really enjoyed this shave because I used something that I love. My Frosty Bay Rum soap's delicious scent filled the bathroom, lathered like crazy and gave me a nice menthol kick, especially on the second pass with its comfortable post-shave feel. The Bay Rum aftershave from Krampert's went on gently and gave me plenty of additional soothing.

Simple 2 pass this morning. Omega boar for the first time in months and it did a fine job of making a slick lather. I think the soap is Haslinger. The Blackland razor holds an 8 day old Astra SP that is still cutting smoothly. Finishing off with some dollar store Spice aftershave.
