Nice setup Jim! How are you liking the Timeless Bronze? Also, good on the shift change, I don't envy you at all. Hopefully you'll get some sweet overtime!
Hope you get some well deserved downtime Neal!

Great setup Jim! The Atomic Rocket is such a big brush!

Day 4 with the Arko and Adjustable. Popped in a new to me blade, the Gillette 7 O’Clock Super Platinum. These came via @Keithmax and my understanding is that these blue packs are not produced any more. I don’t think I’ve had a St. Pete Gillette blade I haven’t enjoyed, actually. Went back to rubbing the Arko on my beard and whipped up a nice lather. Had 2 very smooth passes on ‘7’ and it was plenty close enough.
    Have a great day all!

Great photo, Jason! I am fond of the black Super Platinum made in India, but I haven't tried the blue made in Russia.

    NCoxSTL AAACK!

The Blues are excellent blades. Some of the best they ever made. They apparently moved production of those to India and they are the black blades from there now. I've never liked them as well as the original Russian Blues. Once in awhile a few will pop up for sale. Usually pricey but they are a top tier blade and rare so no surprise there.

I like the Timeless Bronze. Very little blade feel and gives me a clean close shave in two passes. I guess it's what would be described as mild but efficient.
Plenty of ot. Time and a half, quite a bit of double time with shift differential on top. I'm at morning break right now, be leaving in a couple of hours to be back at 6:00pm tonight. The first night is rough, hopefully it's quiet.

If that was me, I would send one to each of several fools on this thread for use in May. They might even end up taped to a finger or something. (And yes, if you do that, I'm in.)

Enjoy the trip, Clint! Are we going to see some Arizona scenery shave pics?
Edit: Just realized this trip is only to Kentucky, sorry!
Great looking set-up, Jim. Sounds like that MMOC is already getting tamed. Finishing with GLSq is never a bad thing, either!
Cool pic, Perry. Calling Arko 'serviceable' is bang on. The scary thing is that after 4 straight days I'm starting to get used to the Arko scent...

Thanks, Jason! It's a polarizing scent! I'm getting whiffs of the soap scent cutting through the aftershave. Albeit, the TSD Iced Yin Yang isn't a strong aftershave and seems to fade more than others, but it's rare that the soap scent cuts through.

Unless your using Tabac or Stirling Spice, I smell those long after the AS fades.

This kind of mirrors my experience with the shavette. I got 14 or 15 shaves in March with it, and the one thing I can say, I'm not as excited about using it as I am with a straight or even a DE. I have found myself going 3-4 days instead of my normal every other day. For the chin, I have to be very aware of the angle I set it down at. I have started laying it flat, then rotating it up, kind of like riding the cap on a DE. Short light strokes, focusing on removing the lather, not the whiskers. I am also making the lather wetter, partly because it takes me so long to shave.
