I remember buying the Mentholated Williams at my local drugstore back in the eighties. Nowadays I just add a little Cremo Cooling cream to my modern Williams when I feel like enjoying some menthol in my lather. Clayton Sent from my SAMSUNG-SGH-I337 using Tapatalk
They were only lightly Mentholated when new. The lather was awesome though. Clayton Sent from my SAMSUNG-SGH-I337 using Tapatalk
The menthol answer is right here fellow shavers: http://theshaveden.com/forums/threads/the-vintage-williams-project.45842/
Barbers used to put a few drops of AS or cologne on top the puck before they loaded the brush. Allows you to scent the soap however you want. For Menthol just partially load the brush, put a few drops of Osage Rub on the puck then finish loading.
True but it is still being made. The formula is different in the modern version. The vintage is usually reguarded as better.
Sigh....you just compared the World Famous Superman of shave soaps to.......Goo. @GarnerPW pass me a brick please.
Brick locked and loaded. I didn't realize this thread was here. Now I have another thread to catch up on and it's 28pgs LONG.
I notice you put a few spaces before "Goo".I'll wait here for you to write "Excellent" in those spaces.
