Tonight's shave was with a newly acquired, restored, and honed razor. It was a very nice 2 pass shave, that left me BBS. Zero issues. I couldnt have asked for a razor to perform better. Straight as an arrow, and takes a laser sharp edge, off the Arkie Surgical Black Hone.

    Razor- The E-W Co. 941
    Brush- Stirling Boar
    Soap- Arko/Avon Spicy scented
    Aftershave- Osage Rub

It's a completely different head from the Piccolo and Grande, milder, closed comb. The hollow handle I believe is same as the Grande.

Thank you - I appreciate it. I totally fell in love with the look of the handle and open comb.

Ahh, so it is, i looked closer and sure enough it's a solid bar. I first thought it looked like the Grande head. Sorry for my mistake.

    Arko Adjustable April!!

    April 6

    Razor - 1959 (E4)Gillette Fatboy (Me)
    Blade - [IMG] (3)
    Soap - D.R. Harris & Co. Marlborough
Brush - Stirling Two Banded Synthetic
    Post - Alum, Marlborough Cologne

The evening started with a head shave. Haven't done that in two weeks due to moving so it was definitely time. Two weeks growth means one thing. Pain stick. I chose the Kai Captain with the Kai Captain Original blade. Lathered up the Arko for this one from the mug and went to work. Nice and effective against that extra growth and only two bites. One behind my right ear when I twisted the tip just a bit. Nothing major. Another just over and back from my left ear due to a bad set down. I can't complain about that. The new sink is bigger so my view from the hand mirror to see the back of my head in the mirror behind me is different. Just didn't adjust for that with the set down.

Main event was the Fatboy on "me" again with the Rapira. Stayed with the Marlbourough soap and had a great shave. Thought it was perfect then a weeper showed up on my jawline near my goatee. Still a DFS finish. Near-BBS, really, so no worries. Back to work tomorrow and ready to roll.

Spent the money to fix the car today. Nothing major, just a painful 3 hour wait for the part to arrive. Good to go. Hope you have a weekend without any problems!

I love Cremo, but the lather is not it's strength for sure. I have the early version. I guess the tub with the darker colored orange lid is improved, but have not tried it. Nevertheless, I never heard a review that mentioned lathering as its strength. It is very slick though. I like the cooling non-lathering version the best. It was my gateway to starting to enjoy my shaves and eventually wanting to try DE shaving, so I will always have a soft spot for their products.

It is funny you ask, because I took note you used Puros right near my post and thought great minds think alike! I understand that RR made 2 versions to test a tobacco scent. The version I bought was the winner and bought it very reasonable for something like $6 or $7. I think it is a great value and smells great. It lathers well and offers plenty of slickness - kind of a sleeper. I believe your are correct and they later upgraded their labels and changed my version of Tobacco to have the Puros labels. I'm not 100% sure on that, but that is what I understand to be true. At the same time, they also ran a clearance on Essential of Lime to clear out the old label that looked like the style of my Tobacco, but with green lettering. They then put a sliced Lime on the cover. I also think that is a sleeper and a high value soap at a great price.

Nice my friend. I love the Tea Tree PAA shampoo, AS, and Deodorant. I haven't picked up the soap, but I am sure it is also great. I also found the repeater to be different with the angle. It is a tricky, but very cool razor. Like the Green Ray Jamie. Excellent photos buddy.
