As it had only been about 15hrs since my last shave with I-gor (I can't stop thinking E-gor), I decided to try it on the lower setting.
I face lathered with the dynamic duo of Shavemac and Wholly Kaw and set off.
The mild setting was a good choice until I got to the grey hairs in the Van Dyke area and then it struggled but no more than a Pushbutton struggles in the same area.
I dont know where others have found their ideal angle on Igor but I've found riding the cap on the front hump (Snoopy's nose, if you like) similar to the curve on the General is perfect for me.
    Have a great weekend.

    Luxor Pro Master
    Derby Premium

    Thayer's Lemon WH
    Lucky Tiger

I started off with Proraso Pre Shave. The Van Der Hagen Luxury Shave Soap face-lathered well with the Jayaruh #277 silvertip badger brush. I did two passes with the Luxor Pro Master Razor using a Derby Premium blade and ended up with a close, comfortable shave. After a cold water rinse, I finished off with Thayer's Lemon WH and then Lucky Tiger AS. I am clean, smooth, and refreshed...

I use the cooling non-lathering as a preshave, but it doesn't work as a stand-alone cream for me.

It always amazes me that such a old razor keeps going and produces such smooth shaves.

Now I am ready for a nice meal out with the family, everybody have a nice weekend.

Good morning friends. A fine three pass shave today with the Maggard V2-MR5 combo. Jabonman is one the easiest soaps to load in my collection. Wonderful stuff. I am smooth and refreshed. Enjoy your day friends. ☺

A very good BBS shave even with the blade getting a bit dull. The Proraso Green soap felt warm compared to the Glacial Black Cherry that I used yesterday but it gave me enough cooling and plenty of rich lather. The Lucky Tiger balm felt so soothing and comfortable, and the Proraso Green aftershave gave me a nice menthol kick. It's so damned cold and windy - hey, enough is enough!

    Enjoy your day!

Limey! Guys I wanted something a bit different today. I had planned to use a straight razor (Eaton 85, in honor of @HolyRollah 's sabbatical), but with a front moving in, my hand isn't agreeing. So lets go with easy. Enter the SuperSpeed, loaded with a once used Rapira. The big barreled BB brush, soap commander tub were elements of ease and simplicity. Three passes went flawlessly. The ss has got to be the most comfortable razor ever, one would have to try hard to see blood with this. I concentrated on angle and was rewarded. Almost made me feel foolish to have 50/60 other razors. I finished with razorock balm, for a pleasant limey lotiony post shave cool down. Saturday guys, and the wife wants to go shopping (pray for me).
Hope y'all did as well, or better. 20180407_111203_resized.jpg
