    NCoxSTL AAACK!

They just mix 50% vodka in the tank. That burns out all the sensors so no lights to worry about.

    Clean shaven looking fella.
We should invite him over for the month of May before he goes over and whacks his head.
    :shocked029:
No room in the trunk for the required tater mash though.

Ever Ready 1912 (Made in England) - Day 2
    Blade - GEM Stainless (2)
    Brush - Bluebeards Doubloon
    Lather - Proraso White
    Post - Witch Hazel

Much improved on yesterday. Today was 2xWTG passes. Cheeks, nose and top of chin have turned out as well as they ever did with the Merkur 34c (with which I shaved XTG). The neck, jawline and under the chin need a little work still. Only one small weeper on the top lip, stopped with alum.

Starting to feel better (finally) so today I pulled out the straight, and decided to go get me some learnin’. First pass continues to be very straightforward. Second pass is good but not perfect. Rather than going on to the third pass I decided to experiment some more with pass #2 (S-N), and found that it may be easier to get the angles right doing this pass with my right hand as opposed to alternating hands like I am doing now, particularly on my neck. I’ve decided to take a step backward and focus on getting the second pass nailed down 100% before focusing on the third. For now the third will be a DE ATG cleanup pass.

Congrats on an improved shave from yesterday. I have several GEM SE razors, including a 1912. They all provide quality shaves. Like anything it's angle and pressure. The cap needs to be almost flat on your face. Light pressure. I still struggle on my upper lip/under the nose with these razors. It's just a little awkward, but overall these are great razors.

The only other razor that I've used so far has been is the Merkur 34c, so the 1912 is a big step up! I'll be using this razor exclusively until I'm getting a 2 pass (+ touch up) DFS without really thinking about it!

Thank you, Clint! First, I love the Bayolea scent, so that is a big plus. The soap is a pretty decent performer as well: slick with some good cushion. The gel smells good, and it does care for the skin, but I would honestly prefer the AS splash.

Yesterday was a dreadful day here in this part of Saskatchewan (actually the whole province is hurting). The Humboldt Broncos, the junior hockey team from a town near Saskatoon, were going to a tournament in another nearby town. Their team bus was in a head-on collision with a semi. Fourteen dead and most of the rest of the team and support staff in hospital. And apparently the first responders, ambulance and police who had to clean up the mess are all getting crisis counselling too now, along with all the family, friends and you name it.

If those of you who attend church could say a prayer for health and strength to those in hospital and comfort and support for those left to mourn, I would appreciate it.

Wow. That’s awful, John. I will pray that God comforts and strengthens those touched by this terrible tragedy as that He will miraculously bring about good things and hope in something that appears bad and hopeless.
