I think whiskey woods is the best of the new. but, not even close to clubman, vanilla, musk or the Veg. those 4 are the best for me

From the "booze" A.S. descriptions, I think you're right-Whiskey Woods sounds like the best of the trifecta.

It's been around a while. At least a year. I have the soap and the splash. Jeeves' "Black Tea" is one of my all-time favorite fragrances. It's not just black tea, but also an insidious tobacco with a clean, smoky dry down. I've been nagging Bryon to do this in an EdP for a long time. The splash is quite long-lasting as it is, but the fragrance deserves a true EdP. You won't find the Black Tea soap or splash available directly from Jeeves. It's exclusive to: http://www.jfhgiftshop.com/.

Thank you Steve, I appreciate it. He got transfered to a different hospital, and he seems to be doing much better. Although if his health doesn't kill him the medical bills might.

Your right about spending time with the family, once they are gone there can be regret about how the time was spent.

    Arko Adjustable April!!

    April 8

    Razor - 1962 (H1) Gillette Slim (Me)
    Blade - [IMG] (2)
    Soap - Arko
    Brush - Jayaruh #54
    Post - Alum

Second day with the Slim and Ladas. And, of course, the soap of the day is Arko. JR54 for the lather. Definitely one of my favorite three brushes and it makes Arko so simple even one of my exes could make lather. Two passes, some touch up, and then a third pass just because I felt like it. I was in the zone and didn't want to quit. The baby is in the house, alum was mostly quiet - hard to beat.

I will do one more night with this setup then switch out to my Adjustable Schick Injector. By the time I've done three shaves on that one my new Qshave should be in the house. You may remember my first one suffered the "Futur curse" of a broken blade support which can happen occasionally, apparently to the clones as well as the real thing. I decided I wanted a workable one in my den so it's on the way to help out this month especially!

Some discussion earlier that having 1000 blades or less means you're out. You'll be happy to know that I have over 1000 just in Sharp Star and Voskhod. I have no idea the total count of all blades but it's time to update my inventory so something to do while I sit here for the next couple of nights. Don't tell me I don't have an exciting life!!

Have a great start to your week!

    FRIDAY'S SHAVE
    20180406_145630.jpg

    Prep: pre shave soap mix
    Razor: Wilkinson Sword Classic
    Blade: Croma Diamat
    Brush: Razorock BC Plissoft
    Soap: Ginger's Garden Haight Ashbury
    Post: GG Maharini A/S

Pretty good lather from the Haight-Ashbury and the scent is a nice pachouli vanilla that is quite unique. Performance on the Ginger's Garden vegan is a step up from the tallow IMO, it's strange but the same situation with Tiki. Paired with the Maharini aftershave which is another incense type of scent, actually got a compliment on this scent which is always a plus.

Prep: Occams Crushed Lime Pre Shave soap
    Razor: Wilkinson Sword Classic
    Blade: Croma Diamat
    Brush: Razorock BC Plissoft
    Soap: Pannacreama Lavandatto
Post: Tallow & Steel Classic A/S

Very nice shave yesterday. Thick lather from the Pannacreama, the scent is mild and nice, but not as good as the Vetiver which is intoxicating IMO. Finished off with T&S Classic which is super soothing and filled with top notch ingredients.

    TODAY'S SHAVE

    20180408_100942.jpg

    Prep: pre shave soap mix
    Razor: Wilkinson Sword Classic
    Blade: Croma Diamat
    Brush: Razorock BC Plissoft
Soap: Razorock WTP Blue triple milled soap
    Post: Aqua Velva

Nice refreshing shave this morning, not quite BBS but no irritation and no drama. The performance on the RR triple milled soap is surprisingly great. Whips up a thick lather that can hold a nice amount of water without breaking down. Cushion is a lot better than other RR soaps, as well as slickness and post shave. Scent is similar to Floid Blue, but since I don't have any I paired it with Aqua Velva which is pretty darn close to my nose.

I used to have both Tobacco #1 and Tobacco #2 and your right one of them became Puros. They did a vote to see what scent the public prefered. Can't remember which was wich, but I think #1 was on the sweeter side, while Tobacco #2 was more of a smokey scent. Both were nice tobacco scents, although I prefered the smokey one, could see why others might not like it.

Pyrate's Cove! Now there's a soap you don't see very much these days, much like IanS, Professor Blighty, Prarie Creations, QED, etc. All had a somewhat strong following a few years ago. It's always cool to see some less common soaps on the SOTD thread from time to time.

I almost pulled out IanS Cinnamon Girl for today shave but decided to go ahead and finish out the Bay Rum run as only 3 more left or should say that is all I can find as I know I have 3 others somewhere around here buried away as well. Will shave IanS Cinnamon Girl for next weekend. Have 3 Prairie Creations so thanks for the hint in using at least one of them in near future.
