Fragrance - Echt Kölnisch Wasser "4711" Eau de Cologne (originally by Muelhens) and I've mixed some Molecule01 in a small decant with it in hopes of increasing the longevity of the scent.

 

I like this soap now, but it took patience to get there. Initially, I didn’t care for it because of disappearing lather.

But I kept it in my rotation and worked with it. It’s a thirsty soap so I let it soak it water while I shower. I find that a synthetic brush works well with it. It whips up a lot of lather. But to avoid the disappearing lather I apply it to a nearly dry face since the lather has a lot of water already. Disappearing or not it remains slick and does the job well.

 

If I recall correctly, it is available at Sallys Beauty Supply. I may have seen it when I bought my brush there. I will have to revisit them on my next day off.

It's been about 4 weeks since I last used this soap and the lid has been off all that time. Has it helped? Well the smell (Eau De Tomcat) has calmed down a bit, but for now the lid remains off.
I went back to the mid setting on Igor and now I've got used to the lightness of it, I had a great shave with it.
This really is a fantastic little razor. The mid setting is smooth and very efficient. I don't see the need to try it on the higher setting but curiosity may get the better of me.

Outstanding Birthday Shave
WSP has long been an unheralded favorite, and their tobacco scent is among the best I've used. Today was no exception, as the Rockwell easily glided through the optimal lather for a close, comfortable shave. I used the splash and balm because I enjoy the combination and it sets me up for a cold day. The beard oil pairs nicely and recedes into the background.

I started off with Proraso Pre Shave. The Ingram Shaving Cream face-lathered well with the Jayaruh #268 synthetic horse brush. I did two passes with the Schick E2 Injector Razor using a Schick Proline B20 blade and ended up with a close, comfortable shave. After a cold water rinse, I finished off with Thayer's Lemon WH and then Pinaud Clubman AS. I am clean, smooth, and refreshed...

What an outstanding BBS shave this was - the freeze from the Glacial MITA soap was off the charts, such rich, slick fragrant lather, and so much protection. The Glacial Unscented balm, together with the Arctique intensified that freeze twenty-fold. The new Astra blade performed like a champ!
