So far so good this morning. Roof of my car was frozen over. This might not be out of the ordinary for some of you folks, but I live in California. I'm from Southern California! I still can't adjust to actual cold winters. The first year I moved up here the freakin' snow level was intensely low. I could look at the HILLS around where I live and they had snow on them. 500ft maybe. No bueno.

Does any one else find it annoying when people walk in to a room and dont say Hi. So my roommates, well I guess she is now his girlfriend, woke up this morning and I have my door wide open she walks by and doesnt say good morning or anything. I didnt know she spent the night so I am thinking I am hearing things as I didnt see her. And hell if it wasnt for me they wouldnt have met as she is a friend of mine. arrg people without manners annoy me.

 

That is the worst, that crap happened all the time in my dorm at Disney. My roommate would have somebody sleep over and they'd be sitting on the damn couch in the morning while I'm trying to get ready for work and I say hi and they're too busy staring at whatever TV show they're watching I'd usually get a mumbled hello. OR even worse my roommate would be awake and their guest would be sleeping and taking up the whole couch at 11AM.

 

My current roomies are like that. I can be on the couch by the door and one will walk in, stare straight ahead and go directly to her room. If I say hi she acts like she's seen a ghost. It's really weird.

The other one keeps to her side of the house usually. She at least says hello sometimes.

 

There is a guy at my office who when you make eye contact with him he pretends he doesn't see you and looks the other way. So freaking weird, and he does this to everybody except for maybe 3-4 people in my whole office.

 

There are plenty of people that work in this building I ignore. I'll make eye contact. You know I know you're there. I simply ignore you.

My reasoning is different. There is a very high turnover rate in certain parts of the automotive business. I refuse to waste my time learning the names of people and hence conversing with people that I'm not likely to see around more than a month. You make it longer than three and we'll talk.

I'm not the only one like that, either.
