It is one of my best looking. Great razor too. Running ahead of the F but behins my favorite E2.
    I am all for it!

You can press the stick into a mug or bowl and lather it like a cake. Makes it easier to load the brush maybe..

Well if you run low on blades hollar at the Fuzzy one.:D

Always that one guy on the ramp in a white hat just laughing.....

Not sure if real Gold but I likey.

Clubman rocks. My barber uses it after a neck shave.

    Awesome....I must find this razor!!

Another fine low-cost shave that proves that technique trumps tools at any price! I'm getting inspired to consider a monthly theme for the group of bargain stuff. I think it could be lots of fun! And educational too!

Interesting shave today. Bakelite Slant Stroke razor with Dorco blade, stirling Electric Sheep, 30DC brush and classic vanilla. If you enjoy a light razor find one of these.

That is a great idea, Neal. I could be all over the budget shaves. You could hold contests for the cheapest shave of the day. But I promise.... I'll keep my shorts on, at least. Otherwise, disfiguring accidents occur.

One of the rules of straight razor shaving. And pain sticks too. I dropped my Feather SS mid-shave last year and got a nice cut on my chest for my trouble. Should have had a t-shirt on.

The price of the razor, brushes and containers etc. needs to be taken into account too! Not just the soaps/ASBs! I think it would be really interesting to shave for a month with a whole setup that cost <£10 / $14 (ish). I think the only exemption could really be blades... Some people need to change them out sooner than others!

    Current pricing for me:

    1912 - 99p
    GEM Stainless - 15p
    Brush - £6 (Expensive lol)
    Soap - Proraso White - £2.67 per 100ml
    Post - Witch Hazel (£1 per 100ml) / Arko Natural Cream (£1.50 per 100ml)

    Total £12.31

It might also be considered cheating to price the liquids/soaps per 100ml. Could be an interesting challenge to have total cost of the items!

I have a Gillette click that is about an dollar....10 for a dollar blades...williams is a dollarish a cake...Barburys brush is 7ish.... The dollar tree has some AS at a dollar. Pretty cheap.

That's kind of the idea, to come up with a setup or setups from "bargain" sources. Cheap razors, blades, the drug store type aftershaves and soaps etc. We wouldn't necessarily go for a price point but just the concept of the "everyday" products. Like what our Dads or Granddads would have used just because that's what they had. That sort of thing.

Yeah, if you go with the "ordinary" items that were historically the ones available sort of thing - we could all save a lot of money. It would be fun to have a month dedicated to that. I'm working on which one. We have a couple of months that aren't already dedicated to a theme or shenanigan type idea.

But then you get the cost per shave guys. More expensive last longer so less cost per shave. Not the point here I would think.

I think a cheapest locally sourced shave products setup would be fun too!! But you have to actually get a good shave from it.

Thanks for the thought re settings, tried on 5 this morning , feels bang on smooth. Interestingly the razor felt better to handle and smoother on the strokes - I'd have got here eventually but appreciate the thought to get me to jog on a bit quicker. Great start to the day as a result as its a case of shaving Nirvana right now :)

Another great shave this morning. The Ocean Kelp cream has a clean crisp slightly herbal scent. As expected the cream was easy to lather and very slick. Three passes and touch ups ended in a near perfect shave. A splash of Fine Platinum and I am ready for the day. I hope everyone has a great Wednesday.
