I really enjoy your reviews of the soaps. They are straight forward and informative without being over the top. Thanks for all the time you take with them.

What months are currently free? It would be interesting to come up with a name!

The three J months. January, June and July. We do Cinco de Julio on July 5th but no monthly theme. January is our anniversary month but no real theme. June is just June.

Thanks, Clint. I have found other people's gear reviews very helpful so I try to return the favour. Plus I find it helps me pin down what I like or dislike about the different products if I try to write it down briefly.

I'm struggling to think of any words linked with frugality/budgeting that begin with J. I'm sure that someone will come up with something though!

Yeah the J words aren't working for me either.

Ever Ready 1912 (Made in England) - Day 6
Blade - GEM Stainless (New blade)
    Brush - Bluebeards Doubloon
    Lather - Proraso White
Post - Witch Hazel & Arko Natural Cream

I now see why people say that the blades are a little rough on the first shave. They're wicked sharp! Only got a couple of tiny nicks - nothing that the witch hazel and cold water splash couldn't fix though.
The shave was OK too... I have real trouble getting the area under my chin and down to my Adam's apple to look clean-shaven without going against the grain. That's my only real area for concern as of now. It's only day 6 on my journey with the 1912 though... A long old road ahead (though not likely as long as the road already travelled by this beautiful razor).
