April 12th Gillette Old Type w Wizamet SI (1) Soap Commander Endurance Finest Fan/ Maple Handle Thayers Barrister's Reserve Spice Sorry, no pic today. Got back home late last night and had a very early shave before heading into work. Switched up the Arko/Adjustable combo and went with my Canadian thin-capped OT which I hadn't used in a long time. Got a great lather, had 3 good passes and finished with the great Reserve Spice. Smooth and irritation free is a good way to start the day. I've followed along quite superficially the past few days. I might try to catch up a bit tonight. We're averaging almost 6 pages a day, though... Have a great day all!
One of the 30 DC's founding members Chris @Bama Samurai is a proponent of the idea of Riding The Cap. It's a technique that that helps set the angle of attack. It will lessen you nicks and cuts, give overall smoother shaves, and extend blade life. Grab yourself a drink and take a couple minutes to read THIS thread. Hey Troy! Good to see you here. Glad you find the Omega brush in good health. I like them too. I had an opportunity to test a BB couple months ago - very nice razor. If I was going to stock up, Feathers wound be my choice, too. Did you find a good price on them? Thank you Andrew! Last I heard Tom has tried to find someone to mass produce, but the cost is too high to be affordable to most folks. I did enjoy my time during The Bunny Pass-around, but never expected to be a Bunny Owner. I think Tom liked my cheerleading during his early development phase.
Well, I know everyone has been waiting for this. Rise changed its website name, the setup is the same as the old one(for now anyway). Risegrooming.com
Way to keep up on the bleeding edge of changing situation Paul! I don't recall trying Rise gel, but I know you like it. Gonna stock up in case they reformulate?
Ever Ready 1912 (Made in England) - Day 7 Blade - GEM Stainless (1) Brush - Bluebeards Doubloon Lather - Proraso White Post - Witch Hazel & Arko Natural Cream Second shave with this blade. I've managed a DFS! I did go WTG, XTG, XTG (with ATG on chin and jawline). The closeness of the shaves with this razor is really something!
I'm putting in a lot of hours at work right now, 120 hours in the last ten days. At least a few more twelve hour shifts. I figured now is a good time to stock up on a few goodies without getting the evil eye when a package arrives. Sent from my SM-T800 using Tapatalk
SOTD 4.12.2018 Pre-shave: hot shower Shave cream: Barbasol Sensitive Skin Razor: GEM Clog-Pruf Blade: GEM Stainless Post-shave: Dickinson's Original WH, Nivea Men Sensitive PS Balm, Jovan Musk for Men AS / Cologne Pleasant shave with the Clog-Pruf loaded with a stainless GEM of unknown number of uses. 2 easy passes assisted by skin stretching and I was finished with a CFS. We are on the Eve of a major Winter Storm here. Hard to believe with how nice it is now and has been the past week. We may be getting up to a foot of snow tomorrow.... heavy, wet stuff, but who knows. The meteorologists keep changing it. Hopefully, it will be less. But something is on the way. Happy shaves all!
They already HAVE reformulated. I have 2 full cans left(plus the one I'm using now)of the "original Super Foam"-reformulated from the original Rise itself, now they went to a smaller-size, different color can, and it's $36 for a case of 24. Haven't decided yet on that one. I'd have to put the case in my living room, lol. The new size is 8.7 oz... sizeable decrease from the 13 I have now.
