It was my first shave so it wasn't horrible. I am sure I will learn and improve each time.

RAD is already happened. Babysmooth on its way and trying to negotiate a trade for a Rockwell 6c for my new Merkur 38c.

I've tried ALOT of vintage and just pare down when that razor's not getting enough attention. For example ... I've owned a 1941 Gillette Aristocrat and found it shaved no better than my 1950's Flares or Pre-war Techs; so I sold the Aristocrat. Not that is was bad, but it wasn't better.

    RyX DoH!

+1 to this idea. The 30 Day Crew is a bunch of New Shavers learning to get their best shaves from vintage gear, and Vintage Shavers trying out new gear. Somewhere in between those extremes are coaches & cheerleaders that have used just about every hardware or software product designed for shaving, plus some shenanigans based ideas that border on self harm. Followed by applying post shave products to cuts, scrapes, and of course razor burn.

Drop by and lurk, join in any time. The thread is fast paced with a dozen conversations going at once, inside jokes that will be explained if you ask, and photos of totally non shaving related subjects. It's an unhijackable thread.

BAD and SAD must be controlled to be part of NB(pick your year). So far so good for this writer.

That Churchill I had was not the one I wanted, but I received so much help with the process I just figured, "Oh, all right!".

The more you shave and your technique improves the less aftershave you will need for soothing. That said I apply a bit of Nivea Sensitive after every shave, before my alcohol splash of the day. I can honestly say I never notice or feel burn anymore at all. :)

I only used two aftershave product throughout the whole year and nothing else.

    1. Thayers Witch Hazel let this dries your face for a few minutes while you clean up your shaving gear
    2. Lucky Tiger Aftershave & Face Tonic apply this twice on your face

    That's it easy peasy
