Razor: Schick Injector Type E2 (US)
    Blade: Schick Injector (1)
    Brush: Semogue 610
    Lather: Arko Shave Stick
Aftershave: Mixture Aqua Velva Musk/Clubman/Lilac Vegetal

This is the first black Bakelite US made Schick E2 I've come across. Shave was just a bit milder than my other US made E2. image-5c3d2afa-9473-4aa2-88b7-7078fe2becf9~01~01.jpg

    Tuff Green A/S Lotion

After todays Shave, I know why in the past I have rated this PAL as one of my Favourite Injectors. The Stirling lather was just right and to start with I set the Razor on a mid setting and it seemed perfect at shearing the growth with just a nice amount of blade feel.
I think when I last used the Razor I messed about with various blade settings , which had a detrimental effect on the quality and comfort of the Shave. Today I maintained the mid setting throughout, and by using the lightest of touch in the polishing up strokes I got a truly face stroking finish. In future I shall stick with the setting I always used to use, variable settings do not work for me.

Does the head open? I thought the black handle was the E5.

The head opens (there is no stop on the left hand side of the spring), and the handle has no seam. Also made in USA is on the the front.

As it happens I've got one on loan but haven't used another E2 so can't compare the shave. IMG_20180416_095603.jpg

Update on above post (page 1025). You can also load in a modern 10 blade Schick mag, just remove used blade container with a penknife - very thin metal. Once removed you will see two tabs, bend up with small screwdriver and remove end stop, this easily slides out with the aid of a small screwdriver when existing blades have been removed. You can then fit new blades, put spring under blades and refit end stop.
