    Pre-shave: hot shower
    Brush: RazoRock Synthetic
    Cream: AoS Lemon Shaving Cream
    Razor: Gillette Fatboy (set #9)
    Blade: Crystal (4)
Post-shave: Dickinson's Original WH, Nivea Men Sensitive PS Balm, C.O. Bigelow No. 1585 Elixir White Cologne

The other day I ventured out into the wilderness and came across this small, 1.5 oz tube of Art of Shaving Lemon Shaving Cream on clearance at a local chain store I had never walked into before. It was hidden amongst some men's EdT & Colognes which were likely leftovers from Christmas. It was $6, which seemed pricey for such a small tube, but I decided to go ahead and get it because I had never used AoS products before today.

I decided today would be the day I tried it. I placed a small dab... about the diameter of a dime.... in a salsa bowl and worked up a lather with the Synthetic brush. I was very pleased with the quick build-up in lather. The Lemon scent was barely detectable, almost to the point of being non-existent. While the scent was disappointing, the lather was impressive, especially since I used so little of it. In fact, I had more lather than I needed for 2 passes and a clean-up pass on my neck.

Even though the Lemon scent in the cream disappointed, the citrus notes in the C.O. Bigelow cologne more than made up for it.

I've got some catching up to do this evening. Happy shaves everyone!

In practice, we theorize about what we should be preaching.

    Or something.

If you guys don't figure this out, it will be time for another episode of "Teaches with Peaches."

Mind you, I said the same thing when I saw the sticker on your version of NB too ... $100 to fail? Ouch!

It would make it far less dramatic. People waver because they've no skin in the game. The no-penalty aspect of a challenge like that also may have the effect of encouraging herd behavior rather than helping people remain true to themselves.

We'll let Sunny P take it from here:

True actually. It's been much easier ignoring urges to buy stuff this year because Jason @jtspartan and I have a side-bet on with Neal @NCoxSTL -- it costs me a brush knot if I fold early.

Latest survey result analysis-Survey Ideas is clearly running a different race. I've just been handed a note-he backed himself out of the gate, turned around and is running the opposite direction.

Yes it is! I just got it from @Enrico. He said it was a smooth shaver and man it is; it’s smoother than my Schick Krona.

This is just a quick note for shaves 18 and 19. Shave 18 was Sunday I believe, and Shave 19 was tonight. Shave 18 was meh, a single pass and then it bit me good, so I ended up finishing with the Schick E3. Tonight's shave went rather well. Two pass shave with the shavette with some extra work on the chin which I'm getting better at, and then the Schick E3 for some light touchups in those hard to reach places. A tiny weeper, and the alum was 97.831% quiet, with a mild tingle on the neck and jaw, which is to be expected since that is where I often make multiple passes.

Some other tidbits regarding my shaving... I haven't used any PSO in several shaves, and I have one foot in the cold water fellowship. I start with a warm water splash on the face and warm lather, but all subsequent rinsing is done with cold water. Not as bad as I was expecting. Certainly nothing like those cold water shaves in basic or other training maneuvers.

    Cheers!

    Thank you, Jim & Clint!

Hope you and your wife have a safe & fun trip, Clint!

    Thank you, Andrew!

Jim, that sounds like a memorable family trip for you and the kids.

You're going to like it Patrick! Chris @SharptoothC was kind enough to send me one a couple of months ago. He might be the Arko rep for North America. :shaver

    Thanks again, Clint!

Finally caught up on posts.... my head is still spinning from trying to contemplate the Wisdom of Peaches.... so I'm mentally unable to go back and do another multi-post highlighting everyone's inspired shaves these past 24 hours. Let me just say.... well-done everyone!

This Fili just returned from Kevin, @HolyRollah with new shoes and very very smooth edge. So very cool and beefy scales makes this razor a joy now. The original scales were light and very cheap feeling to them. Back to work on the AoS tallow with another Omega Pro knot in a handle, I don't remember where I got it from.... I need to write things down these days.
