TOBS Rose soap, Iron Town badger brush, Filarmonica Doble Temple No.13 straight, Pitralon aftershave. One and a half passes, with a freshen up on the leather half way through. One nick. An excellent quality shave.

So here is my Shave of the day
    Custom 7/8 ShaveSmith
Stropped on my Ezra Arthur 3” English Bridle
Preshave as always is my Proraso sensitive... I gotta buy another one still buying a Fougere gothique from someone else been dying to try it
Shave cream: Green Earth Shave Canadian Artisan Lemon Grass infused with essential oils. This stuff is truly amazing and I will be selling it for this artisan soon just because I love it so much! And it builds such a wonderful lather so rich and creamy that I had to take a pic of the bowl[IMG]
    Brush: Kent Blk4 Silvertip badger
And my trusty omega Alum Block
    Hope you guys enjoy!

IMG_1017.jpg Shave #32 on the Cape, it's losing a little smoothness, so the post-shave stropping included +25 canvas followed by 35 suede/65 cordovan. Cream, AdP lathered with a 22mm M&F Finest. A little D. R. Harris Pink AS finished it off.

    Cheers, Steve

    Wow, just wow.

How do they shave? What's the consistency between them?

What is your stropping routine with your Master's? Do you adjust for the stainless steel? Any changes to how you refresh the blade?

It's always picked up when I add the canvas - I added canvas at shave #22 and now shave #32, that seems about normal. Now as far as this blade this time, I'll know tomorrow when the whiskers return, but I'll post an evaluation.

    Cheers, Steve

I don't do anything different from my other razors. Stropping routine for all my razors is 20 on firehose linen, 50-50 leather and then 20 on linen after the shave. I refresh with pastes and then if needed back to a Naniwa 12k followed by Shapton glass 16.

I have three stainless razors and despite the reputations I do not experience any difference from my carbon steel razors other than they are easier to keep shiny. I do notice a variation in my carbon razors in that some of them stain more easily than others.

I was able to pick this us cheap because it looked pretty sad, but the logo was clear and I didn't see any chips in the photos. I sent it out to Kevin, @HolyRollah to be restored, honed and have the scales replaced. Kevin cleaned up the razor so it is pretty now, the scales are bone with a red liner and very very smooth edge. I am thrilled with the result.

Thanks. Two of my stainless are lovely to shave with. One - meh - take it out leave it.
But my Master 's and my Boker just don't seem right. Can't quite get them there.

    Colgate Shaving Mug Soap
    Jayaruh #144 Badger
    J.R. Torrey 5/8
    CWR
    Thayer's Lemon WH
    English Leather

I started off with Proraso Pre Shave. The Colgate Shaving Mug Soapp face-lathered well with the Jayaruh #144 badger brush. I did two passes with the J.R. Torrey 5/8 straight and ended up with a close, comfortable shave. After a cold water rinse, I finished off with Thayer's Lemon WH and then English Leather AS. I am clean, smooth, and refreshed...

I used my Charles Adam this morning for a fine two pass shave. It was a smooth close and comfortable shave.

I’ve talked about this razor before and it still stands out over my other razors. The finest stone I have is a 12k Naniwa and all of my razors go through the same progression. Yet this is the razor that always has the edge that feels like I took it further. It’s a great razor and I love the bone scales on it.
