I was so pleased with my shave result today! Y'know, if I had to guess, I'd say Dial 4 Men's cold-weather bodywashes are in concert with Clubman A.S. or Stoylin Barbershop soap/A.S., or BOTH. Yup, I do believe we can call it Dial 4 Men BARBERSHOP Bodywash. (But I won't do that on a regular level until the Dial gang does it first).

Well written shave report. I’m not surprised by your results. They mirror my early experiments with various preshave treatments and soaps.

Another acceptable if uninspired shave this morning. The Pacific cream works it is not something I would suggest buying. Asha and I are getting out of the city today and visiting Cave Creek for some hiking. I hope everyone has a great Sunday.

Yes, I have noticed a great debate rages between those who believe preshave treatments are an essential part of their shaves and those who think it's just marketing of an unnecessary extra product. I expect it to be resolved around the same time as the 9mm Parabellum vs. .45ACP debate... :)

My own view now is that preshaves are unnecessary for me, but if someone else wants to swear by them, it's their shave and they should enjoy it their way... Oh, and I like 9mmP just fine too, by the way... ;)

This may help in your decision. Purley fictional...or is it?

    Dear John
We know what youre up to. Dont think we dont know whats going on in your head. Every time you pick one of us up we can feel that itchiness in your hand to spend your hard earned money on our replacement. This isnt going to happen John . Cause if it does , we guarantee you that the rest of us are going to mutiny and give you crappy shaves , razor burn, nicks , cuts, . And thats not all. We will tarnish ourselves and become the shame in your den. Is it all worth it John? Just for a new "pretty boy" that you can show off to your friends ? Think about it ...think long and hard John. We know you will do the right thing. You do have a conscience .
    Signed.....your current razors.You know our names .

Great picture, Clint! Sounds like you have reached the same conclusions about Pacific Shaving Co as I did. It certainly works, but isn't one I want to buy again.

Another great shave with this razor. I chose the C plate when I bought it, and this seems to be a great choice for me. It is smooth enough for a quick shave without much worry of a bite, yet efficient enough for a close shave. I am off to church this morning, followed by a relaxing afternoon. I hope everyone has a great day!

It's a great looking razor for sure.
I have no idea how I would figure out which plate to get.

    Cheers

Cave Creek, AZ, right? My grandmother and her second husband lived there for many years. Watch out for the scorpions!! Lovely area though.

Thank you, Montie. I took a bit of an educated guess when picking the plate. I like razors of all types, but it is nice to have those that aren't so aggressive that they will bite every now and then. Due to my schedule, I am sometimes shaving very early in the morning when I am a little less than fully awake. These razors that I cam coast with are nice for those mornings.

One would hope that one's use of the term "the Honorable Member from Louisiana" does not imply that there could be a 'DisHonorable' Member from Louisiana.

Well, I am not sure but I have always suspected that Members of Parliament up here and (I think?) Congressmen in the US always refer to each other as "the Honorable Member from X" in an attempt to give positive reinforcement to a desire to act honorably. Whether it works is more than I can say... :/

You know, if that showed up in the shave den, on plain paper with the words cut out of newspapers... [shudder]...

I thought those arguments were a foregone conclusion... 9mm and no pre-shave gunk. Unless, someone out there is compensating for something... :innocent
