Had to bring out the Sabre. It hadn’t seen any action in some time. Result was a 2 pass plus some buffing on the chin. BBS restored and my face feels like a million $bucks. The WK PL is not much for a scent to my nose, but makes up for it in performance in spades. Great post shave attributes from this rendering. Off to the local pub with a couple of my bro’s for wings, burgers and adult frosty refreshments. Have a great day and wonderful shaves Gents... :eatdrink047:
  2. Monday Shave Plan::

    prep-Dial 4 Men Bodywash(Odor Armor)in shower
    shave-Stirling Soap(Barbershop)
    brush-Stirling "li'l brudder"
    razor-Gillette Sensor Deuce Pivot DisposeABLE
    A.S.-Clubman Original Scent

probable last shave with this lineup until the fall. I was glad to see that the local CVS added a few ,more aftershaves(Original)recently. Would be nice if they could get some of the Reserve names(Whiskey Woods, Gents Gin, etc).
  3. I believe I asked you in a post some time ago about joining Soap Bloomers of America. Actually, I do it anyway more often than not so am I member? :D
  4. Indeed you are my friend. And here is your certificate to hang proudly in your shave den.

Been a busy RL week so I've missed sharing my "likes" here in the SOS thread. Fortunately I'm well stocked with Stirling soap samples that have been keeping me inspired. This lemony mutton tallow was especially good.

  13. I`ve been using the Gillette Twinjector in my Personna Floating Head razor. With Proraso cream, I get as close to perfect a shave with that set up as you can. I swear by it. There is another product, Twinjector II. Just wondering which one you have. I haven`t used the II yet.

  19. Arko Adjustable April!!

    April 22

    Razor - Soviet Consul (9)
    Blade - [IMG] (1)
    Soap - Arko
Brush - Wolf Whiskers Custom Silvertip
    Post - Alum

I decided I couldn't switch from Arko Adjustable in April until I had one final run with the Soviet Consul. A Russian razor definitely deserves a Russian blade, so the Voskhod it is. I let the Wolf beat up the Arko for a very fine load and face lather and went to work. The Consul is, of course, wide open on setting 9, which is "me" on steroids with this razor. Definitely more aggressive than the Gillette it copied. The feel and handling is very much similar to the Slim, but the extra gap makes it more interesting for sure.

Two passes and a bit of neck touch up and the baby is in the room, fed, swaddled, and put to bed. Very fine result with no blood and alum only mildly hot. Very nice shave indeed.

Hope your weeks gets off to a good start tomorrow!
