Tabac Tuesday's Shave Proraso Pre Shave Tabac Jayaruh #284 Darwin Hollow Ground Safety / Schick H1 Darwin HG Razor / Schick Proline B20 CWR Thayer's Lemon WH Aqua Velva Musk I started off with Proraso Pre Shave. The Tabac Shaving Soap face-lathered well with the Jayaruh #284 synthetic brush. I did one pass with the Darwin Hollow Ground Safety Razor with a Darwin Hollow Ground blade and didn't seem to make a dent. I took the blade and stropped it on my big strop 40 laps on the linen side and 40 laps on the leather. I started a second pass, but there was not much difference. I ended up using my Schick H1 with a Schick Proline B20 blade to accomplish a close, comfortable shave. After a cold water rinse, I finished off with Thayer's Lemon WH and then Aqua Velva Musk AS. I am clean, smooth, and refreshed...
24 April 2018 Lathered up with Coates Lime for the 1st time this morning. Unlike the Tea Tree from the last 2 shaves, the Lime seems not to have lost much of its scent. It's Lime alright, but kind of sweet to my nose. The lather was slick & thick. Topped off this 2 pass, minor touch-up shave with HBG Key Lime. Feeling toned and smooth. Cream: Coates Lime Brush: Omega S10065 Bowl: Dollar Tree salsa Razor: Fatip Grande Blade: Polsilver Super Iridium (3) Aftershave: HBG "Key Lime"

Yaqi/Astra SS. I got so carried away swapping the Yaqi aka SLOC cap onto other plates I neglected the stock setup, which I must admit is a very nice shaver. Sent from my Nexus 5X using Tapatalk
Pre: Warm water face wash Brush: Wee Scot Soap: T&H Sandalwood Razor: DeHaven Model 3 Blade: Proline B Post: Warm then Cold water rinse, Bart's Balm Rosemary & Sandalwood ASL I thought I'd see how the DeHaven coped with >30hrs growth and it did pretty well. It's a very smooth operator although not quite as efficient as a 1914, which was my initial thoughts but it took a bit more tidying up around the chin and neck than the 1914. All in all a decent shave, finished off with the lovely smelling Barts Balm ASL although personally I prefer the balm to the lotion. Happy Shaving one and all.
