Outstanding set-up and photo!

Although it's not a pretty razor, it still provides a great shave! Congrats on the find!

The Merker 34c is a wonderful shaver. It took about a year of wrestling with my conscious but I finally ordered one early last year. Glad I did.

I have both, and tend to use Lime Sec more often. It's a straight up slightly sweet scent. Think Jolly Rancher sour hard candy. Doesn't last long as is common for lime scented AS. For those that work outside be aware lime oil can accentuate sun burn or skin sensitivity. The Citrus Musk is a little less sweet, and when the lime fades the Musk is still present. I don't know how is compares to Pinaud Musk. I'm not anti Musk, but don't seek them out.

I did the same with my Palmolive shave stick. Not a face latherer , I prefer to load a brush and make mine in a bowl.

Great mechanical working order but a rough exterior? That Slim sounds like a perfect candidate for either a nickel replate job by someone like Razorplate.com or else a guncoating by Delta Echo or North Shore Razors. Either would make it brand new again and ready for another 56 years.

I worked over the AoS with an Omega Pro but as it reaches the end it is becoming difficult to lather. Strange because it is one of my easiest lathering soaps. I think it only has 2 or 3 more shaves to go before it is gone.

The Bismarck is a pleasure to look at and a pleasure to shave with, another nice shave with this razor.
