Whatever you do, don't do the Gillette Slide with that thing. Always use straight strokes. They are wicked looking.

I was never any good at that whole slide the razor sideways while you pull it down your face anyway. When you say no angles what about this: Starting at the outside neck area (below the ear) and shaving upwards towards the center of the chin. Basically shaving at a 45 deg. angle but with the razor head remaining straight. Put another way, a diagonal ATG pass. Does that work?
Actually now that I think about it I guess the purpose of the slant is to do away with all those funky passes and techniques huh?
I wouldn't recommend the 45 with a straight head, that is basically a slide. Here is what I do. N-S pass 1-2 times Against the grain S-N Go over problem areas with against the grain. Touch up with some blade buffing and occasionally a J-Hook
I like the scent! I just couldn't get a good lather. It will definitely not go ignored but if I had to choose only one soap for the rest of my life it would certainly not be this one.
