This was last nights shave . I know the blade was a 7 oclock but it was more like 10:30 when i shaved . Really liking the Arko. May use it again today to wrap up the month. Piper is tired this morning and only rouses when she hears the geese honking. Thats how i feel every morning too. Hope everyone has a great day! 15250874558550.jpg

A wonderful shave to end the month. Two passes with minimal touch ups ended in a near perfect shave. A splash of Fine Lavender and I am ready for the day. I hope everyone has a great Monday.

I focused on shaving creams for the month of April. While I prefer to use shaving soaps, the creams worked very well. I will continue to use the creams on a regular basis in an effort to use some of them up. I really enjoyed following the progress of the new members. It is nice to see their techniques and shaves improve over the course of a month. The shenanigans lighted up the days as well. Most of all I enjoy the sense of friendship on the thread that extends well beyond shaving. I look forward to participating during May.

Thanks Clint. Enjoy your day, my friend! You have some big milestones coming up with Asha's and Maya's graduations. I'm sure this is a bittersweet time for Mom and Dad. :)

Yes he can. And appreciates the effort. . We have good eats up here, but our foods tend to be simple, and can be woefully lacking in flavor sometimes.

Meant to say, I wasn't surprised by the stories in your area about black bears and women hunters. About 9 years ago, a young Toronto folksinger on tour in the Maritimes was killed while hiking alone in Cape Breton Highlands National Park by a pair of large coyotes. Highly unusual sort of attack to say the least. It was never officially confirmed but there was strong speculation that she was having her period and the coyotes smelled the blood and assumed she was wounded prey. There have been a number of cougar attacks up here where that was the case. I wouldn't expect black bears to be any different.

A friend of mine had cell phone video that his sister in law took, of a black bear coming straight up the tree she she was sitting in. The video ended when she had to put the phone down so that she could shoot the bear in the face.

Prep: Cold water and Stirling mentholated pre-shave soap
    Blade: Schick
    Razor: Schick M1 adjustable injector
    Brush: JR #41 badger
    Soap: Arko
Post: Witch hazel, Barbasol Pacific Rush aftershave

Arko Adjustable April shave with excellent results. Had mounds of lather from the Arko stick. Rubbed it in, followed by taking the brush and pushing it down over the lather quickly and repeatedly all around. This energizes the soap some. Then I dip the tips in the sink and start to vigorously face lather. It works and the lather exploded today. It's not as slick as many other soaps I have but Arko certainly works just fine.

Used setting 8 for the first pass and turned it down to 7 for the clean up. All went well. Great shave to start the week.

    Enjoy your day!

So Piper knows when it's Monday morning and greets the day appropriately, just like her humans, does she? I sympathize. And some days, not even a nice shave with classy gear like the setup in your photo is any help.

Oh well, I am about to trudge off to the bathroom and see if some good gear of my own will help shave this day. Your pic reminded me to switch to Arko for the end of April...

Yes she does John. Its rainy and damp here today so the only ones enjoying it are the geese and ducks . 1 more shave left than its time to get crazy.
