    Omega 11137 boar
    Lea Classic soap
    ER 1914- 12 tooth version
    Gem S/S [ 2 ]
    Lea Classic A/S Lotion.

Apologies are due for my neglect of this Razor, as I have been trying Modern SEs. I have tried both the Sabre V1 & Gem G2 which are both so mild that I cannot get a Decent shave from them.

Today I dug out the 1914 which I may have neglected, perhaps because of my preference for longer handles. It has been described as too mild, but for me has a lovely amount of blade feel. I had a superb controlled shave and I was able without causing any problems to get a" Face Stroking Finish ". I have passed on most of my 1914`s but this is a keeper, have a minty case as well.

I just wonder how this late 1914 with 12 teeth compares with the earlier 11 tooth version. Unfortunately the one that I have has a detached spring.

    Pre: Warm water face wash
    Brush: Vulfix 404 Badger/Boar
    Soap: Cella
    Razor: Colonial Brass General
    Blade: Kai Pink
Post: Warm then Cold water rinse, Cella ASL

    IMG_20180503_094938.jpg
The Kai Pink performed perfectly well in the General, not bad blades at all.
The 404 is coming into its own now and is becoming a pleasure to use, nice backbone, good exfoliation without discomfort, a decent brush for a decent price.
Cella soap and splash, great staples, can't say any fairer.
    Happy Shaving one and all.

    Hi Kevin.
This along with the Omega 11137 are hugely undervalued brushes these days, as is the Omega 11126 which you ought to try. I love looking at SOTD showing brushes with beautiful handles. However, as I am managing to get decent lather from the Brushes that I have. I will not fall down the Brush Rabbit Hole [so far any way].

Good morning gentlemen. A truly fine three pass shave this morning with the Pal Adjustable. Marvelous lather from the Tabac shave stick. I finished with Fine L'Orange.... smooth and refreshed. Enjoy your day friends. ☺️

I started off with Proraso Sandalwood Pre Shave. The Proraso Sandalwood Shaving Cream face-lathered well with the Jayaruh #274 boar brush. I did two passes with the Pal Injecto-Matic with a Schick Proline B20 blade and ended up with a close, comfortable shave. After a cold water rinse, I finished off with Thayer's Lemon WH and then Granddad's AS. I am clean, smooth, and refreshed...

    Hi Mike,
The 11137 is the sweet spot for me soft, firm (and cheap :p) seriously, I prefer it to my Badgers.
The 404 is good and getting better.
Being a face latherer Ive never really fancied a barbershop handle though the 11126 is a beauty.
I've been looking at your 10005 though, let me know if it gets softer.
    Cheers,
    Kevin.

    Hi Kevin,
Though the 10026 is Barber Pole it is as small as the 10037 and the handle shape is lovely for face lathering. So far the 10005 is OK but not amongst my first choices. Glad I revisited the 1914 yesterday as it was so good.
    Cheers- Mike

I know why I have neglected the 1914 which provided me with a great Shave yesterday , it is the 1924. I have the 1924 fitted with a longer handle which I prefer. Though it is a bit more aggressive than the 1914 I still get really good trouble free Shaves with it.
With an excellent lather from the P & B I had a very comfortable Shave with an excellent close all round finish. in terms of performance this for me is light years ahead of any modern Gem /SE that I have tried.
