I served in Louisiana after hurricane Katrina for a month. Rice and beans was a big thing down there too. They ate it as the main dish. Weird.

Supposedly a lot got done at the house today as far as decorating. Hopefully I will see it as I drive up tonight. We went and got our tree today. Dont know when we will decorate it since the wife goes back to work tomorrow and I am not off til Friday.
