    Yup you want shims hang a window. Wait until you try a lather catcher. The 24 is not a favorite of mine. Not a bad shaver though really.

    Chiseled Face definitely passed the "Winter Shave Products I Can Manage In The Summer" test. The menthol is the key issue.(EDIT-CF's Midnight Stag would be an exception, I'd say...that baby is best for winter).

    Those knots are a favorite of mine also.

    Not a MAYhem shave but a nice one. First use of the Nivea cream not bat at all. The F did a nice job. Good start to the day!

    It sounds like you had an experience similar to the one I had with the Curley blade. I found it frustrating in that it was neither fish (a decent blade) nor fowl (typical Chinese crap). Is it possible that they are one of those blades that gets better on subsequent uses?

    I am a little odd in this, but I thought the lack of muscle memory in my left hand to be helpful. It took a lot more concentration in that hand, but since there were no bad habits like using too much pressure to overcome, I thought it was actually fun.

    Agree 100% on the G4, Perry. Besides the cool colours, it is an awesome shaver.
    Great looking combo with that minty F type. I used to have a tube of the Nivea cream in the dopp bag and it was good stuff. Might have to try and find it.

    [​IMG] Here’s my start to mayhem. Figured I’d start off easy. It is a razor I have only used twice before though.

    Gem micromatic
    Blade of unknown brand
    JR147 brush
    Jeff’s soap
    Nivea post shave balm

    Not too bad of a 2pass shave after after running the blade on a diy cr02 strop quite a few times. Note to self go buy some better blades.

    Soap: CK Atomic Age Bay Rum
    Lucky Tiger face tonic
    AS: CK Atomic Age Bay Rum

    Hello gentlemen! I hope everyone is well!

    Blade sampling added to this month's focus. First up, Astra SP. I use the Shaving Buddy app. I went back through my past shaves and I was surprised to find that I have never used the Astra in the Blackbird. The Astra is generally my go to blade. Excellent shave this morning! Three pass face, two pass neck. The Astra was extremely smooth and comfortable in the Blackbird. Great combination!

    The CK soap performed great with a nice scent. Paired with the matching aftershave provided for a wonderful start to the day.
