Palmolive stick: Day Ten

Moving on to edge two, and back to premium results. Went for the win....that means one ATG for the DFS....and...success! Alum was a bit hot in the chin, but it looked and felt smooth. Hero Finish. Lots of good shenanigans...might have to load a pipe and read. Other than that...all is quiet in Colorado.

Hoping to find two more blades in this line.....Mo and Shep blades. You switch out to have the 3 passes shaves. Yeah, so I stretched for that one. Sue me.

 

It's probably good the the "Shredded Aluminum Beer Can Challenge" isn't a real thing.

Sunday Shave

It was a rainy chilly morning so a great day to fire up the tea kettle and use the scuttle. Use the vampire blade but took my time and no blood was drawn.

In the spirit of Mayhem, I decided to shave 3 days of growth with no shower or prep at all this morning. Put a fresh blade in the OCMM, filled the sink with cold water and got to work. Only did 1 pass and ended up about as expected. It was a close shave with a weeper and some irritation. The alum stung. The superior 70 also told me about it. It sort of reminds me of shave from my cart days. Enjoy your day.

Suck factor?

 

I use enough soap to make sure I am never short. Honestly, I could do six passes easily with the amount of lather my big boar makes. If I try and be skimpy on the lather use, I never quite get enough. I normally use about .2 of an ounce, or 4-5 grams per shave. I also souse my soaps every use.

 

I think that when I use my artisanal soaps in sticks, that I use very little. Since most of my shaves on the year have been traveling, they have mostly been with the sticks, and mostly smaller brushes. I am not going through anywhere near as much soap as I expected I would.

 

It wasn't the brightest thing to do, but wasn't in my top 5 of suck either.

 

Well, here's something I learned for future uses of Rise Cooling Balm A.S......a little out of the tube is better than a lot. I used too much today.
