After yesterday's enjoyable if somewhat mediocre shave I was hoping for better things from the OC.
It was as smooth and perhaps slightly more efficient and I do prefer the OC but I have razors as smooth and more efficient.
I will stick with the OC for the rest of the pass around to see if it becomes more efficient with use.
Did I mention it was stunning?
    Happy Shaving one and all.

Good morning friends. A fine three pass shave today with the Muhle R41 fitted with a Astra SP blade. Marvelous lather from the Italian Barber Milionario soap. I am smooth and refreshed. Enjoy your day friends. ☺️

    Proraso Pre Shave
    Valobra Shaving Soap
    Jayaruh #285
    Supply Provision
    Schick Proline B20
    CWR
    Thayer's Lemon WH
    Mennen Skinbracer

I started off with the Green Proraso Pre Shave for some extra menthol. The Valobra Shaving Soap face-lathered well with the Jayaruh #285 brush. It has an extra menthol kick. I did two passes with the Supply Provision with a Schick Proline B20 blade and ended up with a close, comfortable shave. After a cold water rinse, I finished off with Thayer's Lemon WH and then Mennen Skinbracer AS. I am clean, smooth, and refreshed...

Very satisfying shave this morning. I'm finding the Derby creams quite nice. Pleasant, if somewhat subdued scents. Easy to whip up rich, creamy, cushioned lather. Nice post shave feel.
I've been using the Omega synthetic exclusively for the past 5 shaves or so and it makes me wonder why I bother using anything else.

    Cream: Derby Lemon
    Brush: Omega S10065 synthetic
    Bowl: Dollar Store salsa
    Razor: Fatip Grande
    Blade: Astra SP (2)
    Aftershave: Pinaud Clubman Vanilla

We learn from trying. Failure teaches. So this mornings pairing was wrong, which tells me not to do it again. Every stroke was like pulling each whisker out one by one (well maybe not that bad), but it was BAD. A 2 pass shave, WTG ouch/ ATG ouch, ouch. The first 2 shaves, I used Proraso and got great shaves. After a cold water rinse and some afta, I feel better. We learn, so all was not lost. God grant all better shaves.

Star DE/Astra SS (2). Whether a better shave than yesterday with the Postwar Tech I can't say. A bit less smooth perhaps, closer, maybe but really too close to call.. . Easier to find the angle for sure. Both razors are capable of smoothing the crown stubble where many aggressive razors just throw in the towel.[IMG]

Nice and clean, quick and simple. Much needed after a hot and sunny festival outside all day! Sliced the sunscreen off my dome and slept like a baby!
