If the scales are falling off, check the blade to see that it isn't cell rot (celluloid rot). The "rot" can eat into your scales. I've seen it turn the metal into liquid.

Normally I am disappointed by this razor. It should be great but I always feel let down. Not today. A wonderful shave. :happy036:

Tonight's shave was with one of my first, and trusted razors to shave with. I had a fantastic 2 pass shave, with minor touch-ups, that left me BBS all over. Excellent razor, goofy name.

Razor- "Gong Razor", Extra Hollow Ground. Solingen.
Brush- B400 By Tom(@twhite ). Whipped Dog Boar Knot. 2 hairs lost, and it seems to be slowing down. :happy036:
    Soap- Arko/Avon Spicy scented
Aftershave- Avon Spicy. Avon Stagecoach decanter.

A very pleasant shave, razor holds quite firm . Word on Theirs Issards have bevel issues. I don't find that to be the case with this razor. [IMG]

I have a Gong razor almost exactly the same but it's in bad shape from previous abuse. Great razors, made by Ern I believe.

    Cheers, Steve

This one was still wrapped in the tissue paper. Not in perfect shape and will need a little work but not much. Honed it up this morning and had a very nice shave. I have 2 more razors floating around in the world wide postal system somewhere. Have a good one.
