Because rubbing it in kills the scent evolution. :happy093:

Nice! I love the Sandpiper scent. I have the aftershave and the soap. Great stuff!

It is difficult to kill scents that NOBODY ELSE HAS!

Well, you could always get a bottle of the real thing. Though I'm really curious as to what price points the Stirling EdT's are going to come out as. I'm not too keen on paying $60-$100 a bottle on a designer fragrance.

Oh you SPRAY it....is that what this EdT thing is?

    Yes, its a cologne.

Oh...well perhaps cologne sprays can be better than splashes, as the former would appear to be more controllable.

Interesting point...when CONSORT(Hair) took away its gels and went to sprays I got mad. I thought I might just spray some into my hand and rub THAT in, but I guess not now.

It'll be a sad day in my life when my Sandpiper runs out-could be before Labor Day.

I didn’t realize Sandpiper was an homage. I shouldn’t have been surprised. The reviews for YSL are all pretty positive.

I’ve been ignoring Sandpiper for some of my new soaps. I might use it tonight with a renewed interest.

I didn't get the soap-yet. Might get another aftershave, with the soap, as my newest Stoylin combo for next year. (That decision is still up in the air).

Well, Bobby Dylan sang it best, Mr. Cawtuh-"When ya ain't got nothin, ya got..nothin to lose"/. (I'm no Dylan fan, but that song makes sense here).

That's worth breaking NB18 in my opinion!

On paper, I agree with you, but, I'll have other Stoylins to work on as we get into fall&winter(Spice, Barbershop-although I don't have B-shop aftershave, thus Clubman comes in handy here). By the way, if you read my review on the Stoylin website, you'll see I "borrowed" an adjective Doc Ezlovan used in his own description. I just couldn't let it go. :).

Tonight’s 36hr shave DID center around Sandpiper after all. A Stirling Boar opened the ceremony, and a 37c took home the gold in two passes.

Sandpiper could grow on me if I give it a chance. To my unrefined sniffer it’s in the same general category as Mtn Man which my wife likes but I could cut from the herd if forced to simplify. I’ll start using it more and watch for changes in my opinion and my wife’s interest.

The 37c OTOH is pure awesomeness. It could be one of three forever razors if I ever got reverse RAD.

Looks like you’ve got a ways to go on the lemony Orange, but you can count me in. Maybe it’s worth starting a separate thread over.

That Black Ice is one awesome soap - did I ever enjoy it this morning!

Saturday's supposed to see a MAJOR temperature dip-could be a day for Barbershop or Spice soap(course either would go well with Clubman Hair Gel). Aaaand....SPICE IT IS :).

I can imagine superb razor glide with that. Black Ice is tough to deal with when driving.
