After reading 120inna55's review this morning, I've come to the conclusion that instead of lamely trying to describe my shave, I'll just post a pic and be on my way....................

    Razor: Gillette Guard/ Cart. (7)
    Lather: Cremo Shave Cream
    AS: Menneb afta
    Newspaper date: February 3, 1944

An experiment gone Right! Following the instructions on the tube, a 2 in 1 Pass, WTG/ ATG,XTG and every which way but loose. I think after the WTG, everything else was clean up and or touch up. Not much lather, but slicker than snot all the way through. A cold water rinse, some afta and I`m almost next to BBS. Must learn to shave with real thin lather, ( see through lather). The only drawback is it is too fast. Didn`t get to pamper myself. God Bless.

Until yesterday it's been a week of so-so shaves, so I decided to carry on in a similar vein and end the week on a high.
Very, very nice it was too.
    Happy Shaving one and all.
  10. Did you finish the Mike's?

  12. Maybe I just prefer the underdogs but in the same way I prefer the Gibbs 16 to the Adjustable, I prefer Cooper's three piece to the decidedly more hip Mono-bilt. Compares very favorably to the Fatip Gentile (I'd guess a little more gap, less exposure), a very easy and effective shaver.[IMG]

    Treet Carbon Black Beauty Blade
    Maggard 24mm B&W/My Halloween B/Day Brush
    Dirty Deeds Green Tweed Soap
    Dickinson's Witch Hazel
    Aqua Velva Musk After Shave

It's been a while since I used a Treet Carbon blade, don't know why, but it worked great in this razor. Two passes with a little touch up for a great BBS shave.

  14. Excellent picture, Roby!
    Thank you, buddy!
  15. I did. There were a few "crumbles" of soap, that I couldn't even get to hold together, so I dumped 'em. Contemplating my next 3017 soap.

  16. The soap itself is pretty good. I am going to use it a few times, but it seems like a top performer to me. The scent quite a bit of peppermint and wintergreen to me. I don't too much of the other scents, at least not up front. It is similar to Frozen Tundra to me.
