A slow relaxing morning at home was just the ticket. Sticking with the relaxing theme, I took my time to enjoy the shave. The C&E was easy to lather and the Shavemac Finest added to the experience. Three passes and touch ups ended in a near perfect shave. My lower right neck, aka my "Nemesis" prevented me from catching the baby. A splash of F&C Capri and I am ready for the day. I hope everyone has a great Saturday.

I still can’t do a side to side pass on my neck with a straight. When I use a safety razor I can do it, but get a lot of irritation. I just accept a DFS with no irritation and call it good.

Forgot to post yesterday’s shave. This is my current Titanic soap. I picked it up in 2016, and it needs to go to Soap Valhalla. The humble tech gave a great BBS shave with no irritation, while running late and barely caffeinated.

Skipped the preshave to get a feel for the mutton tallow based soap. There's a scent at the beginning of the shave - lamb chops. I've eaten some sheep but it's not a regular menu item. Not a negative, just an observation. Very quickly the clean lemongrass shows up and carries until the end. Could be an economical soap. I loaded as usual which turned out too heavily. Took my first pass with the 5th use of this blade thinking I might need to renew. It felt fine so I powered on through. I'm not one for stretching a blade to it's maximum and will change out at a hint of tugging. Post shave alum was a little hot. Don't know if it was lack of preshave soap lubrication, dulling blade, or bravado with the aggressive OC. Still a good reduction scoring DFS with no errors. Made up for the early lack of menthol by ASing the Rub. Capped it off with Pinaud inspired by the citrus scent from the Stirling soap.
    Good Shaves Y'all!

Great shave Rick. Did you pick up any Vetiver scent in the soap?

    Thanks Clint!
Hard to say if there is a Vetiver scent present. The two botanicals are related and but the vetiver is supposed to woody rather than citrus. I don't own anything that's straight up vetiver so from experience I can't deny it's presence.

Glacially slow. We have one more concrete pour to go before they can start framing. Those seem to take two to three weeks to get done, but this one will be a FEMA rated tornado shelter, so we don’t have to go to our neighbors house when the sirens go off. The original timeframe for the project was 6-8 weeks from the contact signing, which was in November. At this point, I’m hoping it can be done in 6-8 months. Earlier this year, I prayed to learn patience, because that’s a major shortcoming of mine. Since then, I have been given several opportunities to reflect on how I react to things not going as fast as I like.

I really wanted like the mutton based soaps, but I got that whiff of mutton. When I was a kid, my dad raised sheep because the local butcher would butcher one lamb if we gave him another one. We had a ewe who had a pair of lambs every year, so my dad served us kids the lamb 3-4 times a week. He hates lamb, because his parents fed it to him all the time. I also hate lamb. The mutton based soaps are a no go for me. From my one use I can say they perform awesome.

    Razor: Blackbird OC
    Blade: Bolzano Superinox (2)
    Brush: SOC badger
    Soap: CK Sacre Bleu
    Thayers Rose
    AS: CK Sacre Bleu

    Good afternoon gentlemen!

I was going to skip today's shave but reading this morning's reports and seeing the great photos I had to join in.
Two pass shave this morning, WTG/XTG. 2nd use with the Bolzano Superinox blade provided a DFS result. The alum was nearly silent, only just barely noticed in a couple of spots on my neck.
The CK Sacre Bleu is a sweet powdery scent. Something I wouldn't want to apply to liberally.
Enjoy the rest of your day!

Prep: Cold water and Stirling mentholated pre-shave soap
    Blade: Personna
    Razor: Personna injector
    Brush: Zenith B02 boar
Soap: Jeeves of Hudson Street Bay Rum
    Post: Witch hazel, Brut aftershave

Easy shave again with the Jeeves Bay Rum soap. Excellent stuff. Used the Personna injector as the next one up in the alphabetical rotation. I've been through all my injectors now this month. I'll likely not shave tomorrow and use the Black Hawk SE on Monday. Then I may just start the injectors over again. It was fun going through them.

I need to get some glycerin to have on hand to add to aftershaves. Brut could definitely use it. This is the first use of Brut, and the scent is okay, but certainly not my favorite. So many better aftershaves to use. This one won't be used much, but certainly use it and enjoy it if you do. Remember, it's your shave, so use what you like.

    Have a great weekend!

That is such a great pic, Perry. I would agree that a few bucks worth of glycerine and or aloe can go a long way towards making some really “Wanna Like It” aftershaves into some really cool stuff.
