When I first got the Lemon Chill Glacial I could barely tolerate it and my eyes would flutter like mad. But I used it a few days ago for like the 5th time and it was not so bad. I mention this because I believe the body builds up a tolerance for the heavy menthol.
I believe that's what is gradually happening with me-as I have the Glacial Wintergreen. Used it a lot last summer, but hadn't used it since then until a week or so ago, at which time I got a little teary-eyed. I expect I'll be using it more often as we get to summer, and will thus soon be OK with it.
On page 3 of the Scots Pine Sheep soap reviews, someone wrote a "Bozo-NoNo". He likes the soap, but says so in a way that....well, I'll just say I wouldn't.
Well...the bottom line is, the poster used bad language in the review(in my opinion). I suppose tbat's one thing I recall from my youth-"Bozo No No" is something the famous clown would not want kids to do or say.
Rod has informed me that a batch of the Lemony Orange will be released next week, along with the other Glacials. This is a dude who really takes care of his fans.
WELL Done Rod! I’m in for two L-O’s, a few of the glacials after I learn what they are, and some matching balms and ASs.
Oh and don't forget to support the TSD forum this month. If may help to avoid more Stirling fans from getting these awful nicknames. Too late for me.... but I'm going share anyway.
Mr. Cawtuh, I'm a Stoylin fan and we can see my nickname is "Outside The Quotes Now". Ah well. As for raffle, I'll be sure to put my name up in lights.
I have a great grand freeze planned for tomorrow with my Glacial MITA. The Glacial Unscented balm and the Arctique will follow!
Thought I'd have some fun in this thread: As I've been saying, in early 2019 I'll be ordering a Stoylin soap/A.S. combo, as part of celebrating my NB 18 success. What will my choice be? I've decided to nominate 4 "finalists" throughout this year, and name my winner as I make my order in Jan., 2019.. I'll name the first finalist now, the next in July, the next in September, and the final finalist in December. Finalist #1-Stoylin Gentleman Soap Stoylin Gentleman A.S. Round 2 of the "Stoylin Tony Award"in July.
My evening shave. 05/13/18 Pal Injectomatic Personna P74 (4) Stirling Tuxedo Stirling Spice SS P&G Old Spice Classic AS Another smooth shave with the Injectomatic. The Stirling Spice gave me the right amount of protection, and slickness. I followed with a warm water rinse and a splash of the P&G Old Spice Classic AS. I really enjoyed my shave tonight. Hey all! Boy did I have a great shave last night! Glacial Black Cherry was just what the Dr ordered. I then finished off the shave with some Osage Rub! Hope you all enjoy this shave as much as I did lol!
Well, it looks like Sandpiper is here to stay. My first response to the scent was less than enthusiastic, but I stuck with it, and my thinking has come around. Even better, my wife walked through the bathroom and asked "which one's that?" For HER that's the best endorsement any of my various soaps/splashes/colognes have received so far. In fact we both laughed at her response. So when the Lemon-Orange and new glacials are released, I'll add a Sandpiper splash and maybe a balm.
