I am very taken with this razor, for me it's not just a great $7 razor it's a great razor period. I can't speak to the updated version which is sold as the Razorock Teck II, but this BT171 has exposure. It's just adequately smooth but it's very efficient (I skipped my head shave last night which is a good indicator). Pairs beautifully with the super sharp BIC. AOS Sandalwood. No worries Steve. I love the modern Proctor & Gamble version and treat it like it's a flanker of the original. I prefer the final drydown of the Proctor & Gamble version because it's sweeter and seems more potent, but the original Shulton Old Spice's opening and mid-notes are vastly superior in terms of the quality of the florals. The Proctor & Gamble version has a bit of a 'screechy' opening and the florals are very synthetic smelling, but about 3-4 hours in the Proctor & Gamble version settles down and is wonderful smelling with a rich, potent ambery-nutmeg sweetness that I actually think is a tad better than the Shulton version. But again, the Shulton version rules in terms of quality overall IMO.

PAA Organism 46B soap, Excelsior badger brush, a beautiful Filarmonica razor, Pitralon Polar aftershave. One and a half passes, some touchup, and the result is a dolphin smooth shave. Great Sunday shave!
That razor looks cool.. I don’t know if it’s the angle of the photo or something else, but the blade looks so clean and smooth. Almost looks like a liquid metal.. I dig it.
My sotd Razor- Gillette Executive Blade - 7oclock (3) Soap - Old Spice Brush - custom cedar badger Post - Stirling Vetiver witch hazel A/S - vintage old spice Cologne - Vintage old spice Vintage Old spice talcum powder Awesome shave today. Decided to go old school for today. I can’t get the soap to get creamy. It’s soo airy and foamy, but you can’t beat the scent.
